Samsung is preparing to add YouTube Music support to Clock app

The Samsung Clock app offers several features like Alarm, World Clock, Stopwatch, and Timer. Now a new input suggests that Samsung appears to be preparing to add YouTube Music support to its clock app.
Currently, with the Samsung Clock app, you can choose music from Spotify as your alarm tune instead of one of the default ringtones. If you’re not a Spotify lover, you may soon have another option to choose from this app.
In the latest test version (8.06.51) of the YouTube Music update, AssembleDebug (via Android Authority) has spotted that the Clock app on Samsung phones may soon wake you up with your favorite YouTube Music songs as the alarm sound.
If this happens, Galaxy users will be able to choose YouTube Music songs as their alarms in addition to Spotify and the default tone. However, to take advantage of this feature, you must have the app installed and a YouTube Music Premium subscription.
Currently, Google Clock already supports both services, Spotify and YouTube Music, and it appears that Samsung Clock may get both services as well.
The feature is not available to everyone right now as Google and Samsung have yet to officially announce it. However, if the company releases it, it could give the option to choose either Spotify or YouTube Music for your alarm, which would be a welcome addition to the app.
On the other hand, Samsung released a new update for the Clock app last month, which is compatible with Galaxy devices running One UI 7 Beta 3. Additionally, the Galaxy S24 series is expected to receive the fourth One UI 7 beta next week. This shows that the stable version of One UI 7 is not ready yet.
However, Samsung has not yet outlined the rollout schedule and eligible devices. At the moment, only owners of the recently launched Galaxy S25 are enjoying One UI 7. Stay turned.

One UI 7 Home Up update support Fold and Tablet devices

Several Samsung Galaxy devices are already compatible with the One UI 7 Home Up support, while Galaxy Fold and Tablet devices are still undergoing testing for full support. Samsung has recently rolled out a new update for its Home Up Good Lock module with version 16.0.00.82 on One UI 7 devices.
This Samsung’s new One UI 7 Home Up update includes a significant improvement, including Fold and Tablet support in addition to new DIY home features.
According to the changelog, the new update expands One UI 7 Home Up support to Galaxy Fold and tablet devices, which were previously not fully compatible with this Good Lock app. Apart from support, the update includes general bug fixes to improve the stability and performance of the app.

Samsung Phone App with One UI 8 gets Widget support

Samsung One UI 8 is set to come to Galaxy devices with a new design and animations. Meanwhile, a report says that One UI 8 is set to bring widget support to the Samsung Phone app for personalization.
On online forums, some rumors claim that Samsung is set to launch Android 7-based One UI 7 along with the next-generation foldable phones, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 16, in July. Also, the Recent Calls widget default layout includes two options within the widgets section, including 2×2 and 4×2. As per the report, you can stack the widgets, but there is no customisation section right now.
