About the Battery Health and performance of Galaxy S25
Samsung announced that the Galaxy S25 phones used 50% recycled cobalt, sourced from Galaxy batteries already used in its lithium-ion batteries, while the Galaxy S24 used material purchased from recycled companies. In addition, Samsung introduced new battery health information with the launch of the Galaxy S25.

With Galaxy S25 models with One UI 7 you can see your battery status, battery level, battery capacity, battery health, if a battery replacement is recommended, the cycle count, when your battery was manufactured, and when it was first used.
The Galaxy S25 series comes with rechargeable batteries just like other smartphones, these are consumables and have a limited lifespan. Eventually, their capacity and performance diminish and they need to be replaced. To learn more about your Galaxy S25 battery health and if a battery replacement is recommended, go to Settings > About device > Battery information.
According to the information, one problem is that it seems that this feature may not be available on all Galaxy S25 series devices. AndroidAuthority spotted additional battery health information at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which suggests their S25 units do not have this feature.
Galaxy S25 series battery capacity
While the battery capacity and charging of the Galaxy S25 series remains the same as the Galaxy S24 lineup, the power efficiency of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip promises to further enhance battery life. The 40% efficiency increase of the GPU and vapor chamber is expected to significantly reduce power consumption during intensive tasks such as gaming or video editing.

As per the press note, the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 Plus battery gets charged up to 65% in about 30 minutes with a 45W adapter, while the Galaxy S25 battery gets charged up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a 25W adapter and 3A USB-C.
After the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has today resumed the rollout of One UI 7 based on the Android 15 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE. It is worth noting that the Korean tech giant had halted the rollout a few days ago due to a serious bug discovered in the initial update, so it is now rolling out a new firmware that will fix this issue.
Samsung has started rolling out the new One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6, and Fold 6 SE. Initially available in South Korea, the new One UI 7 build will go live in more markets soon. This build is a more refined build than the initial build and includes fixes for system improvements.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6, and Fold 6 SE users can recognize it by the build number ending with BYD9.
Your Galaxy foldable device might have also received the new build. But you can check for the update manually in Settings > Software update. Click on Download and install so that your phone can receive the new OTA.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has now appeared on Geekbench, revealing that the company is carrying out pre-launch tests and preparations for its new device. The latest listing also solves the chipset mystery that has been in rumours for a long time.
According to the Geekbench 6.4 listing, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 US variant with model number SM-F966U achieved 3022 points on single-core and 9307 points on multi-core tests.
The US variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has appeared on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Also, the phone is expected to run on Android 16-based One UI 8 operating system
Being a flagship folding handset, all these things sound quite good. Nevertheless, the actual performance will only be known once the device is officially launched in the consumer market. Inputs reveal that the chipset is clocked at 3.53 GHz base frequency.
Apart from this, the Korean tech giant can launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 around July this year. Also, an affordable flip model can also be introduced along with both the devices.
Samsung halted the One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy S24 series a few days ago, as a serious bug was found in the initial firmware. Samsung has resumed the rollout of the One UI 7-based Android 15 update for the Galaxy S24 series today, which should fix the issue.
The new One UI 7 update for Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones can be verified through One UI build version with S921NKSU4BYD9, S926NKSU4BYD9, and S928NKSU4BYD9.
The latest beta update fixes issues that users encountered in the initial One UI 7 update to provide a better experience. According to the changelog, the update brings functional improvements or new functions.
