Galaxy A56 10-bit HDR videos

Samsung has introduced a camera upgrade with its latest mid-range smartphones. The Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 support 10-bit HDR videos using their front and rear cameras. These are the first mid-rangers from the Korean giant that can record 10-bit HDR videos.

The Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 feature a 50MP main rear camera with OIS and a 12MP front camera. In addition, the Galaxy A56 and A36 camera supports 10-bit HDR videos recording at 4K resolution and a frame rate of 30fps, which is the best Samsung flagship. Both are Samsung’s first mid-range smartphones that can record 10-bit HDR videos.

This is a huge improvement over last year’s models, the Galaxy A35 and A55, which only recorded 8-bit video.

10-bit HDR videos have deeper colors and wider dynamic range. These videos can be shared on social media in Super HDR format (based on Google’s Ultra HDR) with high dynamic range.

In addition, the A56 has a 12MP ultrawide-angle macro lens (f/2.2) with autofocus and a 5MP macro camera F2.4. Also, the A36 has a 5MP macro camera and an 8MP ultrawide-angle snapper.

With these improvements, Samsung has added high-end features to its more affordable phones, making them a great choice for those who want premium features at a lower price. The Galaxy S25 series records 10-bit HDR video by default, and the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 are the first mid-range smartphones to adopt this feature.
