One UI 8 beta for Galaxy S25 is around the corner, start making preps

Samsung fans have been waiting patiently to get a taste of Android 16. Google released the stable Android 16 earlier this week. Since Samsung has its own beta program, users have to wait for the One UI 8 beta to arrive. The company’s beta program may begin sooner rather than later this year. We hear that the One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S25 series will start rolling out in the coming weeks.
According to @tarunvats33, Samsung has started sending a notice to the beta community in India, South Korea, and the US via the Samsung Members app. The notice details how to participate in the upcoming One UI 8 beta program on Galaxy devices.
It also shows a banner that will appear when the upcoming beta program actually starts soon. After this, other compatible devices will also receive the beta version soon.
The company is already laying the groundwork for One UI 8. It started updating apps and firmware builds with One UI 8 support a few weeks ago. This is a great sign for those who have Samsung One UI 8 compatible devices, as they will soon be able to experience the latest Android and One UI versions.
Based on what we have heard, it is likely that Samsung will release the first One UI 8 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series this month. The beta will be gradually rolled out to other devices as well. May or June is turning out to be a busy month for Samsung as the company will also introduce its new foldable phones in July.
As always, we’ll dive deep into all the new changes as soon as we’re able to test the One UI 8 beta. Stay tuned!
