One UI 7 Withdraw Rollback

After waiting for so long Samsung has finally started its Android 15-based One UI 7 Beta for Galaxy S24 smartphone owners in various countries. This update brings several changes and improvements along with enhancements for security, Quick Settings, camera, new Galaxy AI, and more. However, if you having problems with the One UI 7 beta on your Galaxy devices and want to withdraw, here is an easy guide to rollback to the One UI 6.x stable version.

This Android 15-based One UI 7 beta is not as secure because it’s in the testing stage, so the users can experience several issues and bugs at the time of trying it. In this situation, rollback to the One UI stable version is the best option a user can choose.

Withdraw from One UI 7 Beta: How to Rollback to One UI 6

There are two ways to rollback but one of the most secure methods is to downgrade with the Samsung Smart Switch application.

  • To withdraw from the One UI 7 Beta Program, you must apply for withdrawal through the Samsung Members application on your Galaxy devices.
    • Go to “Settings
    • Select the“One UI Beta Program status
    • Here tap on the“Withdraw” menu
  • To Withdraw the One UI 7 Beta software, perform a rollback to the previous release version, using the Smart Switch PC Version on your computer.
    • Note that the rollback resets the device and deletes the data generated during beta testing. Meanwhile, if you signed up for the beta program but did not install the beta version software, you can continue to use the current official version after withdrawing through the Samsung Members app.

One UI 8 Beta closed

Days after kicking off the One UI 8 Beta, Samsung closed new enrollment in the US. The Beta Program devices are the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The Program is available in Germany, Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Two days ago, Samsung confirmed that both the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 will come with stable One UI 8. This means that users of these Galaxy foldable devices will enjoy all the new features right out of the box. After that, Samsung will gradually release the update for more Galaxy phones and end the beta program.

Samsung One UI 8 Beta closed

AdamJMatlock on X noticed that the new One UI 8 beta enrollment for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra has closed in the US. This means that the Samsung Members app is no longer accepting new registrations and is informing users that the beta program has reached its capacity. Now, you have to wait for the program to reopen to register.

In addition, Samsung Members is the key to unlock the One UI 8 beta program. The beta program banner is shown on the home page of the app. Clicking on the beta banner takes you to a short process to finish the registration.

Just like One UI 7 beta registrations, One UI 8 beta registrations crossed the line within a few days of the program’s official launch. This is not surprising news, as Galaxy fans have been eagerly waiting for the Android 16 beta software ever since the stable version rollout for Pixel devices.

Until then, you have no official opportunity to get the latest update on your Galaxy S25 series. Manually flashing the OTA is a solution to get it right away. However, we don’t suggest doing this on your primary Galaxy device as it may cause data loss.
