Galaxy S21 FE gets improved security with December 2024 update

The Galaxy S21 FE is the latest Samsung smartphone to receive the December 2024 security update. Currently, this is available in European countries and a carrier-locked variant in the US. The firm will expand the update to more countries soon.
In fact, the details of the performance of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE running Android 15 and One UI 7 have been revealed through GeekBench recently.
Galaxy S21 FE gets December 2024 security update in Europe and the US
A new software update is rolling out to both Snapdragon and Exynos variants of the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (Exynos), and Galaxy S21 FE (Snapdragon) models are getting a December 2024 update in the US with One UI builds G990USQSEGXK3 and G990U2SQSCGXK3 respectively. The update is rolling out for locked models (Verizon, T-Mobile, Comcast, and more), and could be available to unlocked models in the coming days or weeks.
In Europe, Users of the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (Exynos) and Galaxy S21 FE (Snapdragon) models can identify the new security update with One UI builds G990BXXSBGXL2 and G990B2XXSAGXL2 respectively.
The December 2024 update includes the most up-to-date security patch, which fixes dozens of security loopholes found in the previous software version. It does not bring any new features or performance enhancements.
Firstly, make sure your phone is connected to a secure network to avoid positional risk. Now, go to your phone’s Settings >> Scroll down and tap on Software Update >> Tap on the Download and Install option. If an update is available, follow the prompts to complete the installation.
One UI 7 for Galaxy S21 FE
Samsung is going to release the stable One UI 7 updater next year with the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will get One UI 7 update next year after or alongside Galaxy S21 series.

Galaxy A56 5G May 2025 update rollout expanded, adds Gemini features

Samsung is rolling out the May 2025 update for its Galaxy A56 smartphone, expanding Gemini side button support. The company is shipping this software update along with the latest security patch to improve the phone.
Samsung Galaxy A56 is receiving the May 2025 update with One UI version A566BXXU3AYDK and a package size of 325 megabytes. The update will be delivered in batches and may take some time to reach all users.
With the May 2025 update, Google Gemini is also more closely integrated with Samsung’s stock apps in the Galaxy A56, like Calendar, Notes, Reminder, and Clock. Users can now complete multiple tasks using one simple command.

Samsung has expanded the May 2025 security update for the Galaxy A56 to more countries, including Europe. Previously, the update was only available to users in India and South Korea, but now more Galaxy A56 users can take advantage of the new features.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, Fold 5 receive One UI 7-based May 2025 security update

Samsung has released a new update with the May 2025 security patch for Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone users. This update is currently being released for users in Korea, and the company will soon make it available for all models.
This new update improves security and stability to deliver a better Galaxy experience. It also improves some functions for better performance.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphone users are receiving the May 2025 security patch update with One UI build versions F946NKSS5EYE2 and F731NKSS5EYE2, respectively. This is an early rollout, so it may take a few hours or days to reach all models.
The May 2025 security patch includes improvements from Google and Samsung. Google’s update fixes one critical and 58 high-priority CVEs in the Android OS. In addition, Samsung has enhanced device security by resolving 20 specific vulnerabilities. The latest update improves system security and stability to provide a better and seamless experience.
The changelog reveals that the release concentrates on security improvements. Additional enhancements for system stability and app functioning are included. But what makes it more significant is that it comes after a major upgrade that happened recently.

Samsung Galaxy A35 receiving One UI 7 (Android 15) update

Samsung Galaxy A35 users are getting the One UI 7 update based on Android 15. This update is currently live for users in Europe, and the company will expand it soon. This update is already available in South Korea.
The One UI 7 update for Samsung Galaxy A35 comes with One UI build version A356BXXU4BYDC. To install the update, users will have to download a package of around 2GB.

To install the latest update, access the Software Update menu within System Settings. On this page, click Download and Install to start manual firmware detection. If an OTA is available, the download will start automatically.
