Galaxy S25 grainy display issue

Samsung launched three new high-end phones last week. Of these, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the most capable, but the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ also offer a lot on paper, although they aren’t much different from their predecessors in terms of hardware. Now, new information proves that Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has eliminated the S24 Ultra’s grainy display issue.

Tipster IceUniverse confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra has fixed the issue of grainy display appearing in the S24 Ultra at low brightness, and the screen quality has been improved. (you can see the image below).

In addition, Ice has considered the screens of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, S24 Ultra, OnePlus 13, and Oppo Find X8, and now the post has been removed. Looking at the image, it is easy to find that the color of the screen of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is completely different at low brightness, which is a defect, which is called the grainy problem.

Thankfully, this grainy issue appears to have been resolved by the Galaxy S25 Ultra with its ProScaler display technology, which offers more detailed graphics. This new technology incorporates custom technology with Samsung’s Mobile Digital Natural Image Engine (mDNIe) embedded within the processor using Galaxy IP to achieve up to 40% improvement in display image scaling quality while enabling greater display power efficiency.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra has a display with 2600 nits, 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, and a 1~120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The brightness is the same as the S24 Ultra’s 2600 nits, but the panel delivers more vibrant colors and more bright details. Check here…

On the other hand, a report claims that Galaxy Z Flip 7 comes with “ProScaler” super-resolution for the phone’s display. It will likely deliver a more natural viewing experience, especially for outdoors.

Samsung recently rolled out the latest One UI 8.5 beta build for the latest Galaxy flagship smartphones. The new One UI 8.5 beta version brings some changes and improvements, giving users an early taste of the new software. Additionally, One UI 8.5 includes a redesigned YouTube card for the Now Brief.

With One UI 8, the “YouTube card” in the “Now Brief” recommendation for watching show videos vertically as a list can only show two videos.

Now, with One UI 8.5, the YouTube card in “Now Brief,” which shows recommendations horizontally in a carousel that you can swipe through, now shows up to ten videos, along with larger feature images for each video.

If YouTube videos aren’t showing on your Now Brief feed, you can navigate to and open Settings, then tap Galaxy AI, and then tap Now Brief. Then, tap Content to include and enable the YouTube switch. When you’re finished, tap Back.

Earlier this week, Samsung launched the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series. Soon, the company may expand the beta program to phones in the Galaxy Z lineup and older Galaxy S series devices.
