Games with One UI 7 beta no longer running at a high refresh rate, here’s how to fix it:
After the release of the One UI 7 Beta update, some Galaxy S24 series users have encountered some issues, one of them where games no longer run at a high refresh rate. Here in this article, we are sharing a guide on how to run games at a high refresh rate with One UI 7 beta.
Some Galaxy S24 users have reported that they are not able to run games at a high refresh rate anymore after the fresh beta installation. This bug has caused inconvenience to beta testers who do not want to compromise performance settings like maximum frame rate, resolution, and overall customization level for their gaming.

How to disable the default frame rate for games
To fix this issue, you can release the limitation for 60 hz on your game refresh rate via the developers option. To do that,
- In the settings app on your Galaxy with One UI 7
- Find and tap Developer options.
- To enable developer mode, head to your settings and tap About phone at the bottom. Scroll to Software information >> Build number and tap it seven times.
- Find Disable default frame rate for games and tap the toggle.
Samsung’s One UI 7 Gaming motion smoothness feature
Wiht One UI 7, Samsung introduced the Gaming motion smoothness feature that allows you to switch between 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates for Game Booster, so you can choose between longer battery life and smoother animations when gaming on your phone.
Additionally, the company will also launch a new game-dedicated module, Game Booster Plus app, in Good Lock for One UI 7. This feature will come with three key settings to be included namely Gamepad Key Remapping, GPU Detailed Settings, and Game Category Changes.
