After the Galaxy S25 series phones, Samsung is working on a next-generation foldable series. It looks like Samsung’s tri-fold smartphone has started surfing the internet. A new leak highlights the size of the cover display of Samsung Tri-Fold smartphone.

Display analyst Ross Young highlights the cover screen of the first tri-folding smartphone from Samsung. According to the information, the cover display for both the Samsung tri-folding device and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will measure 6.49 inches.

This is the same size as the cover screen on the Galaxy Z Fold SE, suggesting that the company is finally abandoning the narrow cover screen that we’ve seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and older foldable Galaxy smartphones.

Meanwhile, the phone is expected to measure around 10 inches when opened. These are initial parameters of the new devices and may change in the future.

Last month, Samsung showcased the Galaxy Tri-Fold ahead of its official launch. While its availability is not known yet, new information from a reliable source suggests that the official launch is not too far away now.

An earlier report said that the company doesn’t expect it to be a huge success and plans to make just 200,000 units. Furthermore, Samsung is planning to launch four new foldable devices in 2025, including a new “tri-fold” model. With these four amazing foldables, the company is aiming to maintain its lead in the foldable phone market in 2025.

Samsung has reportedly started developing One UI 8 for the Galaxy A56 smartphone. The company has already released an Android 16-based One UI 8 Beta for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Just recently, a new build for the Galaxy A56 smartphone has surfaced, indicating that Samsung is internally working on One UI 8. The build, identified as A566BXXU4BYF7, has been spotted via a reliable tipster, @tarunvats33. Testing is underway for the European variant as PLS is Poland’s CSC code.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 smartphone is currently running on Android 15-based One UI 7. However, users are waiting for the next major update to try out new features. The special thing is that this device is eligible for the first major software update as One UI 8.

Based on Android 16, One UI 8 focuses on improving the experience of apps, including productivity, multitasking, reminders, calendar, modes and routines, and health. The software’s phone system, camera, security, privacy, and accessibility are also getting improvements.

Currently, Samsung Galaxy S25 series users can enjoy these new features through the One UI 8 Beta Program. The company is also planning to release One UI 8 Beta 3 for the Galaxy S25 series phone. However, older Galaxy smartphones might not receive the One UI 8 Beta update.

According to Alfaturk, Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and Z Fold 5 smartphones have appeared with One UI 8 and Android 16. The Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy Z Fold 5 have achieved single-core scores of 1466 and 1995 and multi-core scores of 3000 and 5055, respectively. We can expect significant performance improvements with the next major update.

It offers a glimpse into what consumers can expect from Samsung’s next software for Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and Z Fold 5 smartphones. Notably, One UI 8 is going to be the last OS upgrade for the Galaxy S22 series and the second-to-last update for the Z Fold5 and Flip5.

Samsung is releasing the June 2025 update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra users, which installs new improvements to enhance the device’s system stability. It is currently rolling out to limited users. But the company will soon expand it to more phone holders.
