Galaxy S25 One UI 7 update features

Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra users are missing some One UI 7 enhancements that are available on Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra running on One UI 7 beta. There is now a report that Samsung is preparing a new software update for the Galaxy S25 series that will bring new and missing One UI 7 features soon after the next update rollout.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S25 flagship in late January with stable One UI 7, which brings some new features, such as Now Brief, Log Video, and AI filters, as well as other inclusions. Despite this, the Galaxy S25 series lacks recent improvements made to the beta software.

It is worth noting that Galaxy S25 users get the Media Playback Now bar on the AOD and lock screen just like Galaxy S24 users, but they may not get the functionality of the pill-shaped interactive media player button in the status bar.

According to @UniverseIce, the next firmware update for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will introduce official One UI 7 features, such as adding a music player to the Live Island.

Samsung is regularly working to enhance the functionality of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra devices. Stay tuned for updates to enjoy a seamless experience with your Galaxy S series smartphone.

Galaxy S25 Edge launch

Earlier reports said that Samsung will likely launch the Galaxy S25 Edge slim phone in April. Now, a report states that the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to unveil next month (May) instead of this month, but the exact date is unknown. Several leaks have led to speculation about the Slim phone’s possible release timeline.

According to a report by ETNews (via @Jukanlosreve), the Korean tech giant has decided to postpone the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge. Samsung had planned to launch the S25 Edge in April, but now the slim phone has decided to postpone it to May or June.

Also, there is news that Samsung is not going to hold a big launch event for the Galaxy S25 Edge. Instead, the device will be announced at an online event, similar to the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series, where the price and launch date of the phone will be revealed.

The phone will be available in three colors and two storage configurations. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and Android 15-based One UI 7.x OS.

In terms of optics, the S25 Edge will have two cameras, including a 200-megapixel primary and a 12-megapixel ultrawide. The selfie camera on the slim phone will be 12 megapixels, just like the other Galaxy S25 models.

Galaxy A36 update

Samsung is rolling out the first update for Galaxy A36 5G users. The latest software update brings some useful improvements to the device. It optimizes system stability for better performance. The update also fixes some of the phone’s hidden issues.

Last month, Samsung introduced the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A56 smartphones, along with the Galaxy A36 5G, in the global market. It features a  6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip,  IP67 water resistance, a 50MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with fast 45W charging.

Now, the company is bringing the first update for the Samsung Galaxy A36. The firmware is rolling out with the One UI A366USQU1AYBB version. We suggest keeping sufficient storage for uninterrupted installation.

The Korean tech giant is expanding the reach of the new security fixes to more devices. So, be patient, as you will get this update soon.

However, this update installs the February 2025 update, which fixes several vulnerabilities that often lead to data leaks and abnormal functioning of the device, thereby spoiling the overall user experience.

The update is rolling out to Verizon network carrier in the US and will soon reach other parts of the world. You can try downloading the update manually via Settings > > Software update > Download and install. Make sure your tablet has enough storage and battery level.
