Galaxy A52 February 2025 update live

February 2025 security update for Samsung Galaxy A52 5G smartphone arrives with One UI build version A526USQSGGYA1. This update is available in the US for the carrier-locked variant of the phone.

The latest update for the Samsung Galaxy A52 smartphone is based on Android 14 and One UI 6.1. However, these phone users are not eligible for the One UI 15 feature based on Android 7.

It is worth noting that Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 5G in early 2021 with Android 11. The phone supported software upgrades for three generations and regular security updates for at least four years.

As always, the update is being rolled out gradually, so it may take a few hours or days to reach all models. Users are recommended to install the update immediately to take advantage of improved security measures.

If you are using the Galaxy A52 5G smartphone in the US, you can install the latest update to get a better experience. You can also check for the update by heading to the Settings of your phone and opening the Software Update section.

Now, tap on the Download and Install option. If an update is available, you can follow the on-screen instructions to install the update on your Galaxy smartphone.

Notably, the February 2025 update fixes over 40 vulnerabilities in Android and Samsung software. Google has patched 1 critical, and 34 high-level issues, and one CVE doesn’t apply to Galaxy devices. Samsung has also addressed 7 issues, including bugs related to  the Samsung Find app and Android Application Component settings to ensure a more seamless and secure user experience.

Android 17 Universal Clipboard

Google and Samsung are yet to release Android 17 and One UI 9 Beta for Pixel and Galaxy devices. Meanwhile, Google is working on a Universal Clipboard for Android phones and PCs, with Android 17. This means Samsung’s One UI 9 could bring universal clipboard to Galaxy devices.

According to Android Authority, Android 17 includes a feature called UniversalClipboardManager. This tool appears inside Google’s continuity framework, which transfers copied content between Android devices without a third-party tool

Samsung’s current cross-device features, like Quick Share, Samsung Flow, and Phone Link, do not offer built-in clipboard syncing. Fortunately, that could change in next year’s One UI 9 update, as Google is working on a Universal Clipboard for Android phones and PCs.

If Samsung follows the One UI 8 schedule, One UI 9 is expected to arrive alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 in mid-2026. If Google implements Universal Clipboard in Android 17, Samsung will likely add it in One UI 9.
