Samsung Galaxy S24 FE 5G starts receiving a new One UI 7-based update with the June 2025 security patch. The firmware is rolling out to limited smartphone users in the home market, South Korea. Although the company may soon initiate a broader software release.

The One UI 7 June 2025 security patch fixes a dozen vulnerabilities. It targets bugs hidden in the device system and ensures that private data remains secure. The firmware also fixes flaws that could allow malware to enter the phone.

Galaxy S25 series owners have joined the One UI 8 beta program. Samsung rolled out One UI 8 beta 1 in four countries last week. Now, Samsung’s beta participants are enjoying the use of One UI 8 beta 2.  Samsung’s One UI 8 beta 2 also packs things that the brand hasn’t mentioned in the changelog, one of them is Real-Time Text.

According to @MKarakachanov,  One UI 8 Beta 2 for the Galaxy S25 brings a feature called Real Time Text, and is an accessibility feature located in Phone Settings. 

As per the information, One UI 8 Beta 2 Real-Time Text (RTT) allows you to have a text conversation during a voice call. RTT is often used to communicate with people who are hearing or speech impaired.

Plus, the other person can see every letter you type in real time. You can erase and make changes, but the other person will be able to see what you changed. Additionally, RTT calls have audio as well as text. If you don’t want the other person to hear you, you can mute the microphone during an RTT call.

To use RTT, you need to be connected to a 4G or 5G network or use Wi-Fi calling. Moreover, RTT calls cost the same as normal voice calls.

Galaxy S24 June 2025 update

Last month, Samsung detailed the June 2025 security patch, which fixes 19 security issues, and two days ago, the company offered it to the Galaxy A56 5G, making these phones the first to get it. Well, the brand is now rolling June 2025 security update out to the Galaxy S24 series, making it the second device to get the latest security update.

The company is currently rolling out the update to variants of the smartphone sold in South Korea, with the rollout just beginning. Korean users will receive it gradually.

We expect Samsung to expand the  Galaxy S24 series’s June 2025 security update to other variants of the phone and in other countries in the next few days.

To update your Galaxy S24 to the latest firmware, go to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install. If you don’t see any update, it means Samsung hasn’t made it available for your device yet, and you’ll have to wait a few more days.

Speaking of software updates, Samsung is testing Android 16-based One UI 8.0, and the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are eligible for it. Today, the brand has released its beta 2 version to the Galaxy S25 series. After completing the testing, the stable version will be released. The company may first offer it to new and high-end devices and then to old and more affordable ones.
