Samsung Galaxy A56 appears on Bluetooth SIG, moniker confirm
Samsung is preparing for the launch of the new Galaxy A series smartphone, in addition to the Galaxy S25 series phones including the Galaxy S25 Slim. After appearing on the Geekbench and 3C, the yet-to-be-launched Samsung Galaxy A56 has now surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG certification site. Samsung Galaxy A56 Bluetooth SIG details
The Samsung Galaxy A56 has been spotted on Bluetooth SIG certification with model number SM-A566B_DS and it is also said that Samsung will launch the device with the Galaxy A56 5G moniker. While the listing does not reveal any key specifications and launch date, it suggests that the upcoming Galaxy A56 phone might be announced soon.
Notably, the Samsung Galaxy A56 previously surfaced on the 3C platforms with the SM-A5660 model number. As per the listing appearance, the Galaxy A56 sports 45W charging support. Meanwhile, the 2024 mid-range Galaxy A55 only supported 25W charging. So, this is a significant upgrade and especially notable since Samsung typically specifies 45W for its flagships.

An early Geekbench report indicated that Galaxy A56 equipped the Exynos 1580 processor that features an octa-core CPU with a Corex-A720 core clocked AT 2.9GHz, 3 Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, and 4 Cortex-A520 cores running at 1.95GHz.
The upcoming Galaxy A series model will likely have a triple-camera system at the back with a 50MP primary lens, 12MP ultrawide sense, and a 5MP macro camera. It may support an upgraded 12MP selfie camera for clean and clear facial shots.
Another major treatment will be One UI 7. The Galaxy A56 will come with the One UI 7 goodness out of the box. It may unlock more impressive features and capabilities, enhancing the overall user experience.
Samsung is rolling out a June 2025 security update for the Galaxy S23 series smartphone in the home market, and it comes with EMUI software version S91xNKSS6DYE5 with a download package size of 450 megabytes.
