Samsung launches One UI 8.5 Beta Program for Galaxy S25 series
After numerous rumors and leaks, Samsung has finally started rolling out the One UI 8.5 beta update based on Android 16 for the Galaxy S25 series, bringing enhanced productivity, privacy, and performance across the Galaxy ecosystem. This update allows you to try out new features before they are officially released.
Now, One UI 8.5 beta is available for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in the US, Korea, and Germany. Upon registration, a new OTA will pop up, and you can identify the update via the PDA build version that ends with ZYL8,3 for the Galaxy S25 series.
To join the One UI 8.5 Beta Program, navigate to the Samsung Members app, followed by One UI Beta registrations. Proceed as the page requires, provide your consent to the terms and conditions, and finish registration by tapping on “Enroll.”
Now, you’ll need to download and install the beta firmware, which requires manual operation. Open the Settings > Software Update page and tap Download and Install. Ensure your phone has a sufficient battery and is connected to a stable network.
One UI 8.5 Beta is built on Android 16, which introduces plenty of new features, enhanced Galaxy AI tools, improved user interface, and enhanced productivity, privacy, and performance across the Galaxy ecosystem. As you receive the Beta build, you may encounter bugs and battery-draining issues.
