Samsung One UI 7: 5 new features to improve security and privacy

Samsung has officially announced the One UI 7 beta rollout with a brand new UI design, stunning animation, transitions, and lots of new features. In addition to the Galaxy AI features and new UI, Samsung introduced powerful 5 security and privacy features with the One UI 7 update that aims to protect your personal data in the age of AI.
One UI 7 enhanced security and privacy features
Samsung One UI 7 new features enrich your Galaxy phone software users’ experience. Plus, the new One UI 7 enhances your device’s security and privacy features and helps to manage the phone in a secure manner.
The new One UI 7 security and privacy features include an advanced Knox Matrix, a Data recovery method for Enhanced Data Protection, Passkeys support for Samsung Accounts, a Maximum Restrictions option in Auto Blocker, and improved Theft Protection to the system to bring optimum user experience.

One UI 7 Advanced Knox Matrix:
Samsung Knox Matrix is a multi-layered and blockchain-based intelligent threat-monitoring system to protect your connected Galaxy devices. With the One UI 7, Knox Matrix Dashboard allows you to check the security status of multiple Samsung smart devices including home appliances, phones, tablets, and TVs.
When all devices are secure, they show up as green on the dashboard, while, if any security issues, they will show an actionable recommendation to mitigate the risk.
Data recovery method for Enhanced Data Protection:
The advanced data protection feature keeps data end-to-end encrypted on the Samsung Cloud and syncs it with all your Samsung devices. Moreover, it allows users to transfer the recovered data to the new device by using the lock screen verification of their previous device.
Passkeys support for Samsung Account:
Samsung introduced passkey with One UI 6.1, providing more security for web sign-in without the need to remember complicated passwords. Now, Samsung adds support for the passkey for the Samsung Account with the One UI 7 to log into your Samsung devices.
Maximum Restrictions option in Auto Blocker:
Maximum Restrictions option in Auto Blocker with One UI 7 offers enhanced control for network connections. When you activate this feature, it blocks the device from connecting to a 2G network or prevents automatic reconnection to potentially unsafe Wi-Fi networks.
Moreover, this security feature allows users to remove location data in shared photos, prevent automatic attachment downloads, and block hyperlinks, previews, and shared albums.
Improved Theft Protection:
One UI 7 adds theft detection lock, offline device lock, and remote lock features to the Android suite of anti-theft protection features, available only on Galaxy devices.
When you activate this feature, if your phone is in an unfamiliar location, it will require biometric authentication to make any changes to the device’s security settings.
