Samsung One UI 7 update splits notifications and quick settings, but you can choose together UI!

One UI 7 Quick Settings Notification Panel

One UI 7 is the next major interaction in the software used by Samsung Galaxy devices.  Based on the latest Android 15, One UI 7 brings with it several new UI changes along with splits in the notification panel and Quick Settings, but you’re given the choice to use the new  “separate” UI or “together” UI options.

Years ago, One UI had notifications in a separate pane from Quick Settings. Galaxy users could swipe down with one finger to access their notifications or swipe with two to access Quick Settings.

Now, splitting the notification panel from Quick Settings is one of the most polarizing changes in the One UI 7 beta update from Samsung. However, this is a change that many will hate. To address this, Samsung added the option to together the quick settings and Notification panel in One UI 7, bringing back the familiar look from earlier versions.

With the One UI 7 update, the “Separate” quick settings view is what you’ll see by default, you can easily change it on Galaxy devices. To do this, by navigating to Quick Settings > Edit > Panel Settings, you can choose between the “Separate” or “Together” options.
