Let’s dive into this:

10 reasons to choose the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and not the S25 Ultra

Here the some reasons why buyers should consider buying the Galaxy S24 Ultra over the S25 Ultra.

Galaxy S24 is the first Samsung phone to feature a Titanium frame, which represents a refinement of the S23 Ultra’s design. The Titanium frame also improves the feel of the hand and the phone’s look. While the Galaxy S25 Ultra is stated for a design change, however, there may be sharp corners and a slightly curved frame.

Display

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra features a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that boasts a 120Hz and maximum brightness level of 2600 nits, which is a significant upgrade from the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 1750 nits. Report that the Galaxy S25 Ultra may sport a similar display tech with a slightly bigger screen.

Processor

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with an Adreno 750 chip that is cooled by a 1.9x larger vapor channel compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Whereas the Galaxy S25 Ultra may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is more efficient. In terms of performance, there may not be much difference.

Camera

S24 Ultra features a quad-cam setup on the rear side with a 200MP primary shooter with OIS and an f/1.7 aperture, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, OIS, f/2.4, and a 36-degree FOV, an upgraded 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, OIS, f/3.4, and 22-degree FOV, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 120 degrees field of view and an f/2.2 aperture. However, the upcoming model may use an upgraded ultrawide sensor. therefore, there may not be much difference in the photography experience.

Battery

With a massive 5,000mAh (typical) battery, 45W super-fast charging, and an advanced cooling system, this phone can handle even the toughest multiplayer gaming marathons with ease. The Galaxy S25 Ultra has a slight improvement in the section with a new chipset.

Software updates

With the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung announced the commitment to providing seven tears of software support for Galaxy S24 Ultra, including Android OS upgrades, security patches, and One UI. That means your Galaxy S24 will be compatible with Android 12 and One UI 13. However, the S25 Ultra will be eligible for extra Android OS updates, since it will be the new generation.

Galaxy AI

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with Galaxy AI features, which means you will get the following features:

  • Note Assist
  • Generative Edit
  • Chat Assist
  • Live Translate
  • AI HDR Preview
  • AI Portrait Studio
  • Live Effect
  • AI Zoom

Future-ready features:

Galaxy Ultra model has future-ready connectivity features such as 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.3. Moreover, with a powerful chipset like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the smartphone is already future-ready for up to six years.

Affordability

Since the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be a year old, buyers can purchase it at a discounted price from the e-commerce platform, making it affordable compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which may come at a much higher price without any discount. Hence, buyers can save a lot of money by buying the S24 Ultra.

Easy availability of accessories:

Every old phone accessory like a screen protector, phone case, and other accessories is easily available in the market at affordable prices. However, if you are buying a new-generation phone, you may have to wait quite a long time to get all the accessories.
