Galaxy S24 series beats Galaxy S23 sales record by 18% margin: Report

A Twitter/X tipster says that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series excellence made it surpass the sales record of its predecessors – Galaxy S23 series by an 18% margin. Plus, the report suggests that suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has beaten the Galaxy S23 Ultra sales by a 16.5% margin. The device is ruling in the flagship phone market and continues to achieve great results in terms of popularity.
Hana Securities research data leaker @jukanlosreve says that the Galaxy S24 series has surpassed the Galaxy S23 series in sales figures over the past 11 months. A large part of this achievement is due to the great sales of the Galaxy S24 series, which comes with the Galaxy AI feature.
The tipster highlighted the current flagship market data and said that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series sales are higher than the record Galaxy S23 series by a 18% margin. Here are the sale details of each device:
- Galaxy S24 Ultra: 15.8 million sales, surpassing the Galaxy S23 Ultra: 13.56 million,
- Galaxy S24 Plus: 6.77 million sales, Galaxy S23 Plus: over 5.39 million, marking an impressive 25.7% growth.
- Galaxy S24: 12.1 million sales, ahead of Galaxy S23: 10.46 million, representing a 16% increase in sales over the 11-month period through November 2024.
Overall, the Galaxy S24 series did not disappoint Samsung, selling 34.66 million units. This is higher than the Galaxy S23 series’ 29.41 million units, representing an 18% increase in sales in the 11 months through November 2024.
Some inputs suggest that the company may soon release the respective flagship Galaxy S series for its global consumers, aiming to produce 37.4 million units of the Galaxy S25 series.
Expressly, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be produced in 16 million units. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus will produce 14.8 million and 6.6 million units respectively.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z6 series disappoints Samsung, selling 4.9 million units. This is lower than the Galaxy Z5 series’ 5.2 million units, representing a 6% decrease in sales in over 5 months.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite came with Android 10 in 2020, and the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite came with Android 11 in 2021 and has received updates for three years as promised. However, these phones will not get Android 14 or newer. After five years of software updates, Samsung has officially stopped support for these phones.
Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will no longer receive software updates, the phones will still be safe to use. They will continue to receive Google Play system updates, which include important fixes to keep apps running smoothly. This helps keep the phones safe even without the latest Android features.
