Verizon is rolling out the January 2025 Android security patch update to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in the US. You can identify it through One UI build version S928USQS4AXL2 and the download size is around 500MB.

Galaxy S24 January patch T-Mobile

Earlier this week, Samsung released the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta 3 to the Galaxy S24. A day later, the South Korean tech giant started rolling out the January 2025 update for three devices in Korea. Today, the company is expanding the January 2025 security update for the Galaxy S24 series in the US. This update is based on the Android 15-based One UI 6.1.

The company is preparing the latest software rollout for its US devices. After the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldable, Samsung is rolling out the January 2025 update for locked models of the Galaxy S24 series on the T-Mobile network carrier in the US.

According to the information, Galaxy S24 users can fetch the new firmware with the Onu UI 6.1 version S92xUSQS4AXL3. Make sure to have enough storage space in your handset as the software weighs around 500 MB. We also suggest using a regular Wi-Fi connection.

  • Galaxy S24: S926USQS4AXL3
  • Galaxy S24: S928USQS4AXL3

As usual, the January 2025 update changelog does not bring any major changes to the phone. Still, it fixes the hidden bugs and issues of the device that may spoil the user experience. Consequently, phone holders get a bug-free experience.

For starters, this update is being rolled out slowly in batches. It may take some time to cover all device owners in the US. Samsung should release it for devices on other networks soon. In the meantime, you can check for new versions in Settings > Software update > Download and install and manually install the latest firmware.

Galaxy S26 camera button

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series has started emerging in the leaks, and the latest one has shed light on the camera button of the upcoming 2026 flagship.

As mentioned by Android Authority, a former employee at a Samsung supplier revealed on LinkedIn that they contributed to an initiative developing a new camera button with swipe gesture functionality for the Samsung Galaxy S26.

This report states that Samsung is working on an Apple-style Camera Control button for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. An Apple-style Camera Control button on iPhone models lets you quickly open your iPhone camera and access common camera settings.

We can now say that the Galaxy S26 series will be the first Samsung phones in years to feature a dedicated camera button.

For your information, the last Samsung phone with a dedicated camera button was probably the Galaxy K Zoom from 2014, which was essentially an Android-powered digital camera that could also make calls.

On the other hand, Samsung has not yet officially confirmed the Galaxy S26 lineup. However, according to reports, the company may unveil the Galaxy S26 series at a Samsung Unpacked event in February 2026. This upcoming series could be available in early March. Stay tuned for more information.
