Galaxy S25 Slim not teased at Unpacked 2025 image, confirmed
Samsung has published a teaser image for the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event to be held in San Jose, California, USA. This image shows the corners of four phones. At first, we thought they could be four different phones, and the fourth device could be the Galaxy S25 Slim, which has been rumored several times in the last few months. Now, a a leaked promo image shows the four models of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series including the fourth show their front side, but it does not include the Galaxy S25 Slim.
Insider Evan Blass has revealed a promotional image of all three models of the Galaxy S25 series, revealing four devices, three of which show their rear panels, while the fourth shows their front. Previously, Samsung fans thought this front-facing device could be the Galaxy S25 Slim, but that’s not the case, as we discussed here.
If you look closely at the Samsung Galaxy S25 leaked promo front side image, an S Pen slot can be seen at the bottom left of the device, indicating that this may not be the Slim variant. The S Pen slot is a feature primarily found in the Samsung Galaxy S Ultra, not the other including Galaxy S Slim.
Apart from the S Pen slot, at the bottom, the S25 Ultra has a SIM card tray, a mic hole, a USB-C port, and a single slit speaker opening, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. In addition, this image also shows the back design of the Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. It gives us a look at the camera modules and overall back design of these models, as well as the Ultra with S pen.

This famous leaker raised an interesting point about the Galaxy S25 Slim in his recent X post yesterday. He reminded Samsung fans that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition was also rumored to be named Z Fold 6 Slim, but that never happened. Why would it be different for the so-called Galaxy S25 Slim?
The Galaxy S25 Slim is rumored to have an ultra-thin design, measuring 6.4mm. It is expected to sport a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 12GB RAM, 200MP primary rear camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and 4,700-5,000mAh battery.

One UI 9 could offer more elegant UI design
Samsung is working on the One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 QPR2 on the Galaxy S25 series. The One UI 8.5 is Samsung’s latest version of Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones. Now, the reportred tha Samsung may offers more refined UI design for the upcoming One UI 9, which is based on Android 17.
With One UI 8.5, Samsung has replaced the rectangular bottom bar with the rectangular tabs found in One UI 8.

According to @tarunvats33, One UI 9 will further enhance the pill-shaped design across all apps. Therefore, Samsung fans are hoping the company will add frosted glass and smoother animations in the upcoming update.
A tipster shared images of Quick Share from One UI 9.0 on their X handle. As you can see in the images below:

It has a more compact floating pill-shaped bottom bar compared to One UI 8.5, and the tabs also look more rounded.
We expect One UI 9 to officially launch around July 2026, probably alongside the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8. On the other hand, Samsung hasn’t yet confirmed when One UI 9 will arrive, so keep an eye on the Samsung Members app for the official roadmap later this spring.
This update will be based on the Android 17 operating system. The foldable devices will be the first to launch with the latest OS pre-installed.
