Galaxy S25 Slim may launch in select markets, but won’t live up to its name

Leaks and rumors have really generated a lot of hype for its upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S25 Slim, whether talks about the specifications and renders. A new leak suggests that the Galaxy S25 Slim might not live up to its name, and not be offered through US carriers.
A well-known Samsung insider on Twitter claimed that the Slim variant of the Samsung Galaxy S25 will only be available in a few markets, such as South Korea and China, like the Galaxy Z Fold SE. This means that would not keep its Slim name and skip availability at US carriers.
The leaker includes concrete facts about the name and availability of the Galaxy S25 Slim and references the fact that the slimmer Galaxy Z Fold 6 is a big hype, which was launched as the Z Fold Special Edition, which will only be available in the Galaxy S25 Slim.
Apart from this, the leaker has also claimed that in the markets where it will be launched, its positioning in terms of marketing and price will be between S25 Plus and Ultra.
Notably, the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be teased at Unpacked next week. Recent leaks suggest the device will launch in May 2025. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 Slim was spotted on the Geekbench database with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, 12GB RAM, and Android 15.
In addition to this, the phone with the SM-S937B model number appears on the Samsung server with a version number ending AYA5. The build number reveals that the phone runs on Android 15-based One UI 7.
In terms of optical, it may feature three lenses a 200MP HP5 main camera + 50MP JN5 ultrawide-angle shooter, and a 50MP JN5 telephoto sensor with 3.5X optical zoom.
Moreover, recently the first look of the Galaxy S25 Slim surfaced online, showing that the device could measure 159 x 76 x 6.4mm and feature a metal frame and glass back.
