Samsung has released a new software update for its Galaxy A series devices, the Galaxy A32 5G and Galaxy A23 5G, bringing the January 2025 security patch, which fixes a bunch of security issues. The company is rolling out a new security patch for the mid-range model. This patch aims to wipe out any hidden issues in the device’s system and make it more reliable.

It’s good to see that Samsung is constantly rolling out new security updates for its flagships and mid-rangers as well as entry-level. However, Galaxy device owners of the Galaxy S24 and other models are still keeping their eyes peeled for One UI 7 major software or feature upgrades.

Samsung Galaxy A32 and Galaxy A23 5G get January 2025 security update

The Korean tech giant just recently released the January 2025 security update for Galaxy A16, Galaxy A15, and Galaxy A14 5G smartphones in the US.  This month’s security update fixes over 50 issues, making the device more secure than before.

Coming back, The Galaxy A32 5G and Galaxy A23 5G users can identify the January 2025 security update with the One UI A326BXXSECYA1 and A236USQU4DXA1 versions. Being an initial rollout, it could be available to limited users for now. Though Samsung may soon expand it to more users worldwide.

The Korean tech giant has released the update for the Galaxy A23 5G to the carrier-locked version of the phone for the US. Moreover, the Galaxy A32 users get this update for Telekom, Vodafone, and other networks in Germany. 

Therefore, you should install this update on your Galaxy A handset as soon as possible. Users can head to the Settings app to install the update manually. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings > Software Updates
  • Click on Download and install

Let the device fetch the latest firmware versions from the server. Tap on the Install button to enjoy the latest security improvements for your device.

Users of the Galaxy S22 series,  Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4 are getting the One UI 8 update through One UI build versions:

Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 grabbing One UI 8 update in more countries

Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8 update to its mid-range Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 in India and internationally, respectively, after launching them in Korea last week.  Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 users can enjoy One UI 8 features, and it is expected to arrive in other regions soon.

The major update brings a number of new features and improvements to the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G devices, along with the goodness of the Android 16 operating system.

One UI 8 is Samsung’s custom skin that runs on top of Android 16. It offers a more refined and user-friendly interface, with enhanced privacy and security options, redesigned widgets and notifications, improved performance and battery life, and more.

Samsung Galaxy A55 users are getting the One UI 8 update with One UI build versions A356EXXU5CYI8. On their Galaxy devices, users can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The download size is around  2,342.12MB, so make sure to connect your phone to Wi-Fi and that the battery is at least 50% charged before you start downloading.

Samsung begins releasing One UI 8 (Android 16) for Galaxy A54 and A34

Samsung’s One UI 8 (Android 16) is now expanding to more Galaxy A series devices. The Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 have become the latest A-series phones to receive the major One UI 8 software upgrade.

Based on Android 16, Samsung One UI 8 brings improved performance, faster animations, and a new, modern design to Galaxy phones. The update also includes improved privacy controls for managing app permissions, as well as improved battery and device care tools.

In addition, the One UI 8 update allows Galaxy users to enjoy even more customization options, including new themes, widgets, and lock screen settings.

Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 users in India can verify the One UI 8 update with One UI build versions A546SKSUCEYI5 and A346NKSUAEYI7, respectively. The company will soon make it available to all models.

You can manually check for the latest update by going to your phone’s settings. Open the System Settings page, scroll down, and select Software Update. Press the Download and Install button to manually retrieve the update from the server.
