Samsung announced new S series phones on January 22, 2025, and now just three days after the launch, the Galaxy S25 5G has started receiving its first firmware update, bringing the February 2025 patch. Yes, the smartphone sales are yet to go live in all countries, but the Korean tech giant has introduced the flagship phones with the usual enhancements.

The latest firmware includes a small list of new features. It also enhances the overall system performance to provide users with a more clear and amazing experience.

Inputs reveal that Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra units are claiming the first update with the February 2025 patch with the One UI 7 versions S931BXXU1AYAA, S936BXXU1AYAA, and S938BXXU1AYAA. Ensure to have sufficient space as the latest iteration has a package of 600MB. We also suggest using a standard internet medium for installation.

The screenshot reveals that the latest update is rolling out in Turkey and may reach other parts of the world soon. Users can keep an eye on the update section of the device to perform a manual installation. However, it will reach more regions in the coming days. Till then, you can try installing the latest update via the Settings app.

Tap on Software update > then tap on Download and install. Now the phone will access the server to get the firmware for you. However, the whole process can take some time so don’t forget to have a cup of coffee with you.

The Galaxy S25 series has also included the February 2025 security patch to eliminate any hidden bugs or system glitches that could have affected the system’s efficiency. To enhance the efficiency of the Galaxy S25 models, Samsung is now pushing its first One UI 7 update to the market ahead of the first sale.

It is worth mentioning that the Galaxy S25 series is a great device that comes with many cutting-edge features and capabilities such as Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, large battery with fast charging, advanced camera setup, Galaxy AI, and Android 15-based One UI 7 software.

Currently, the phone is available for pre-order but not yet available for offline purchase. So, if you have pre-ordered the Galaxy S25 series phones for yourself, you will start receiving deliveries from February 07.

After the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has today resumed the rollout of One UI 7 based on the Android 15 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE. It is worth noting that the Korean tech giant had halted the rollout a few days ago due to a serious bug discovered in the initial update, so it is now rolling out a new firmware that will fix this issue.

Samsung has started rolling out the new One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6, and Fold 6 SE. Initially available in South Korea, the new One UI 7 build will go live in more markets soon. This build is a more refined build than the initial build and includes fixes for system improvements.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6, and Fold 6 SE users can recognize it by the build number ending with BYD9.

Your Galaxy foldable device might have also received the new build. But you can check for the update manually in Settings > Software update. Click on Download and install so that your phone can receive the new OTA.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 goes on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Elite, One UI 8 ahead of launch

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has now appeared on Geekbench, revealing that the company is carrying out pre-launch tests and preparations for its new device. The latest listing also solves the chipset mystery that has been in rumours for a long time.

According to the Geekbench 6.4 listing, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 US variant with model number SM-F966U achieved  3022 points on single-core and 9307 points on multi-core tests.

The US variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has appeared on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Also, the phone is expected to run on Android 16-based One UI 8 operating system

Being a flagship folding handset, all these things sound quite good. Nevertheless, the actual performance will only be known once the device is officially launched in the consumer market. Inputs reveal that the chipset is clocked at 3.53 GHz base frequency. 

Apart from this, the Korean tech giant can launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 around July this year. Also, an affordable flip model can also be introduced along with both the devices.

Samsung halted the One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy S24 series a few days ago, as a serious bug was found in the initial firmware. Samsung has resumed the rollout of the One UI 7-based Android 15 update for the Galaxy S24 series today, which should fix the issue.

The new One UI 7 update for Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones can be verified through One UI build version with S921NKSU4BYD9, S926NKSU4BYD9, and S928NKSU4BYD9.

The latest beta update fixes issues that users encountered in the initial One UI 7 update to provide a better experience. According to the changelog, the update brings functional improvements or new functions.
