Galaxy A55 getting January 2025 security update more widely
Samsung has released the January 2025 security patch for the Galaxy A55 smartphone in Europe. The update is already available to users in India and some countries in Asia and the company will soon make it available for all models.
As always, the Korean tech giant is releasing the latest patch with system security and stability improvements to keep your files and data safe on your phone. Moreover, it also optimizes system reliability to provide seamless and uninterrupted functionality on your Galaxy device.
According to the information, the Galaxy A55 January 2025 patch comes with One UI version A556BXXS6AYA3 and has an update package size of around 300 megabytes. This update is highly recommended for you to install on the Galaxy A55 device as it will boost the system’s security.
One UI 7
Samsung has currently not confirmed any news regarding One UI 7 for the Galaxy phones including A55. However, other older phones have been announced to be eligible for a new One UI version but we’re waiting for an official answer on this matter.
Talking more about this software, the One UI 7 has various new features such as a unique user interface, improved animations as well as improved performance due to the changes made to the internal kernel of the software in addition to Galaxy AI.
How to update:
This update is currently rolling out gradually so it may take some hours or days to reach all models. To update Galaxy A55 with the latest software, you will be required to move towards Settings > Software updates > Download and install and then follow the screened steps for further guidance.
January 2025 security patch
The January 2025 security patch includes fixes addressing 5 critical and 24 high-level CVEs (common vulnerabilities and exposures) by Google, while 1 CVE was already covered in an earlier update. In addition, Samsung has added its own fixes to the update, covering 22 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items

Samsung Galaxy S26 series starts receiving first software update
On February 25, Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 series, and these phones will be available starting March 11. Now, the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra are receiving their first software update in the US.

Samsung usually rolls out updates gradually, so users in other markets should also receive the same update in a week or two.
To manually download the update, go to Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install. Once the download is complete, tap Restart/Install Now to complete the installation. Make sure your phone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network and has enough battery.

Galaxy Tab S10 FE tablet users install January 2026 security update
Samsung’s latest Fan Edition tablets, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, are happy as they receive the latest January 2026 security update. Notably, the firmware contains the newest safety improvements that will improve the tablet’s current health for a reliable experience.

Samsung’s January 2026 security patch addresses 55 security vulnerabilities. Google helped fix one critical vulnerability and 20 high-risk issues found in Android. Samsung also added 30 additional security fixes specifically for Galaxy phones. These fixes address both critical and medium-level risks.
