The Galaxy S25 series is now official. Even, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is designed with convenience in mind and super fast charging is an important part of delivering that experience. Despite the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S24 Ultra having similar battery and charging specifications on paper, the latest flagship offers decent upgrades over its predecessor in real-life usage, as per the TechDroider’s battery and charging test.

Galaxy S25 Ultra battery and Charging Test: Speed and heat results

According to the charging test, the Galaxy S25 Ultra fully charges (from 0% to 100%) in about 57 minutes with a 45W adapter. This is a significant difference compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which usually takes 1 hour and 11 minutes, meaning the S25 Ultra takes 15 minutes less time to charge.

Details of events from the video The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 5000mAh battery took 10 minutes to reach 17%, 20 minutes to reach 40%, 30 minutes to reach 60%, 40 minutes to reach 80%, and 50 minutes to reach 96%. Here, the charging speed momentum fluctuated a bit, see here:

According to Samsung, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 5000mAh battery took 30 minutes to reach 65%, while as per testing done by TechDroider, the phone’s battery took 30 minutes to reach 60%.

The temperature of the Galaxy S25 Ultra after 57 minutes of charging using the 45W adapter was 25.7 degrees, which was slightly higher than the room temperature of 21.3 degrees, which makes sense because the device was charging.

Nothing’s PD charger is supported, while OnePlus charger and cable are unsupported

As per the YouTuber who tried in the video, Nothing’s PD charger and cable support Samsung’s fast charging mechanism. Whereas, OnePlus’ charger and cable, do not activate fast charging on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Teaser leak confirms Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge unveiling for May 13: Specs dropped

Samsung is all set to introduce its first-generation flagship slim smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be held on May 13, 2025, while an official-looking teaser just leaked.

Well-known tipster Evan Blass today leaked a Galaxy S25 Edge teaser that Samsung should have kept to itself. The image displays “Beyond Slim,” which highlights the upcoming phone’s slim profile and launch date.

As per the teaser, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13, but a new leak has revealed the phone’s full specifications.

It is worth noting that the Galaxy S25 Edge is the fourth model to arrive this month, ahead of the Galaxy S25 FE, which was launched later this year.

According to WinFuture, the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a 6.66-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits. It will also have a 1-120Hz refresh rate and will be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It will have extremely thin bezels and weigh around 160 grams, It is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will reportedly come with a powerful 200MP primary camera (f/1.7, 85-degree FOV) with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.2, 120-degree FOV), plus a 12MP selfie snapper (f/2.2, 80-degree FOV).

As for the body, the S25 Edge will have a strong but lightweight titanium frame and glass on both sides. It will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage options.
