One UI 7 improved battery protection feature and brings new charging animation and icon
One UI 7 has jumped on the surface with various features that users love at an extreme level. However, the advanced battery protection feature of the One UI 7 is something that has caught my eye to a great extent.
Today’s super-powerful, ultra-slim smartphone and multi-task-ready foldable devices allow you to move around with ease at any time of the day – so few people look for a high-end camera system. Still, one thing every phone user always looks for is a good battery.
To extend the battery life of Galaxy smartphones and tablets, Samsung introduced a Battery Protection feature with One UI 6.1. Now, the company has improved the Battery Protection feature with One UI 7 alongside bringing new charging animation and a new battery icon.
One UI 7 improved battery protection feature and brings new charging animation and a new battery icon
One UI 7 battery protection feature allows you to choose how much you want to change your phone and when to stop charging. As you know keeping your device’s battery at 100% changes for a long time can reduce its life.
To prevent this, you can use the improved battery Protectin feature, wherein settings can now limit sharing at different intervals. Where previously it was limited to only 80%, it can now be stopped at 80%, 85%, 90%, and 95%.
You can easily avail of the improved battery Protection feature on your One UI 7 running device as it is found under your device’s Settings > Battery > Battery Protection. It offers three modes:
- Basic: This way stops charging when your battery reaches 100% and starts charging again when it reaches 95%
- Adaptive: This mode uses your device usage patterns and optimizes the charging schedule. It stops charging when your battery reaches 80% while you are asleep and switch to the basic mode before you wake up.
- Maximum: It allows you to choose to limit the charge to 80%, 85%, 90%, and 95%.

One UI 7 brings new charging animation and a new battery icon
One UI 7 introduces the new charging UI animation, a pill-shaped that displays battery percentage inside on the lock screen. When your device is unlocked it no longer shows on the screen, but only in the battery icon in the top corner, containing a percentage inside.
