Galaxy S25 Edge to be 5.84mm thin, thanks to the iPhone 17 Air
Samsung and Apple will launch their thinner flagship phones this year. Apple has finalized the iPhone 17 Air and Samsung is also working on a thin Galaxy S25 Edge, which will launch in the next quarter. Now, a report said that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge to be 5.84mm incredibly thin, thanks to the iPhone 17 Air.
According to the information, Samsung has removed the triple-camera setup and made the Galaxy S25 Edge just 5.84mm thin, which will compete with Apple’s alleged iPhone 17 Air.
With rumors of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air being between 5.5mm and 6mm thick, Samsung has made a bold decision, removing one camera, reducing the thickness even further, and fully committing to becoming the thinnest flagship in the market.
The new input says that Samsung has removed the third camera, the telephoto lens, and slimmed down the device to 5.84mm, with dimensions of 158.2 x 75.5 x 5.84mm. This is a significant last-minute design change that makes the S25 Edge one of the thinnest smartphones Samsung has ever made.
It’s worth noting that Samsung has removed the telephoto camera to reduce thickness. The battery is also smaller at 3,900mAh. These changes are only aligned to reduce the thickness enough to challenge the iPhone 17 Air.

Galaxy S25 Edge Expected Specifications
The Galaxy S25 Edge is said to be thinner than 5.84mm. It appears to feature a Flat display, glass back, and metal frame, a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen, a 3.900mAh battery, and 25W fast charging. It is rumored to be using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip with 8 CPU cores.
Additionally, rumors say the phone will be equipped with a 200MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide shooter.

Samsung’s June 2025 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 is currently available in Europe, and the company will expand it soon to more countries. The fresh update installs the latest Android security patch released in June 2025 to improve system security.
June 2025 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 can be identified via One UI build version F731BXXS5EYF1 and F946BXXS5EYF1, respectively. It is an initial rollout, so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.
It is worth noting that this update is based on Android 15 and One UI 7. Users of these devices will get the One UI 8 update in the coming months. Samsung has not confirmed these smartphones for beta, so it is possible that users may get the stable update directly.

Samsung June 2025 Security Patch Details
