Samsung Galaxy A26 5G gets FCC certificate, launch expected soon
Samsung is preparing to launch a few A-series smartphones this year such as the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A26, and Galaxy A06 5G. There have been several leaks about these four devices that shed light on their design, specifications, and launch timeline. Now Samsung took the Galaxy A26 to the FCC database, revealing some details about its charging, Wi-Fi, and others.

Ahead of its launch, the Galaxy A26 5G smartphone already appeared on BIS (Bureau of Indian Standard) with SM-A266U, SM-A266U1, and SM-A266V model numbers. Now, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy phone has received FCC (Federal Communication Commission) certification with an SM-A266U/DS model number. The model number belongs to the Galaxy A26 5G.
The model with ‘DS’ indicates it will hold dual SIM support. Plus, the U in the model number suggests that this will be the US variant of the smartphone.
Apart from this, the FCC listing reveals some key features of the Galaxy A66 5G. The phone will support multiple network types, including 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, NFC, and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/a/ac connectivity options. It will also have Bluetooth, GNSS, and NFC for contactless payments.
Also, the phone will come with a Samsung charger ‘EP-T2510’, which suggests it may offer 25W fast charging. As expected, the Galaxy A66 will come with One UI 7 out of the box.
The screenshot from the FCC certificate shows the phone’s status screen, which shows the battery icon from One UI 7. This confirms that the upcoming midrange will run on Android 15 with Samsung’s new software.
Samsung Galaxy A26 5G is expected to debut globally, including in India, by the end of 2025, after other models in Samsung’s A-series lineup.

The build number is ending ZZAB, which means Samsung is currently testing it internally. This indicates that the Korean tech giant is preparing a new beta update for these S series phones.
According to reports, One UI 8.5 will bring major upgrades to Bixby. Additionally, a bug that occurs when clicking on the search history in the phone app will be fixed in an upcoming beta version.
In addition, it can resolve the issue of calls switching to the device speaker in certain situations when using a Bluetooth headset. In addition, an issue has been fixed in the upcoming beta build where there was a problem pasting phone numbers into the keypad after clicking on a call link.
Moreover, it will fix an issue where AI Select does not automatically close when “Copy” is selected.

On the other hand, a report from a French publication claims that the Galaxy S26 series will be launched across Europe on March 11, 2026. However, the company has not yet officially confirmed either the date of the Unpacked event or the release date.
In the latest edition, the Standard Samsung Galaxy S26 has reached Geekbench and revealed some of its key specifications. It has seemingly performed well in the single-core and multi-core tests on version 6.5.0, as well as achieved good points.
As per the listing, the device with model number SM-S942U obtained 3,379 points on the single-core test and 11,097 points on the multi-core test. The details reveal that the Galaxy S26 smartphone will equip the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, an overclocked version of the chipset.
The chip includes 12-gigabyte RAM, 3.63 GHz base frequency, six high-performance CPU cores running at a clock speed of 3.63GHz, and two prime cores at 4.74 GHz.
