Samsung expands February 2025 update to Galaxy S24 FE and S23 FE
Following the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 series, Samsung has expanded a new update with a February 2025 security patch for Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy S23 FE users in the home ground. This update installs the latest Android security patch to improve the system’s security and reliability.
Notably, the February 2025 update fixes over 40 vulnerabilities in Android and Samsung software to offer a more safe and secure user experience while also protecting the device against external potential threats.
Google has patched one critical and 34 high-level issues, and 2 CVEs don’t apply to Galaxy devices. Samsung has also addressed 7 issues, including bugs related to the Samsung Find app and Android application component settings. These patches aim to enhance security and device performance.
Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy S23 FE grabs February 2025 security update
February 2025 security update for Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy S23 FE in Korea can be identified via One UI build version S721NKSS2AYA1 and S711NKSS5BYB1 respectively. It is currently available for users in Korea and the company will make it available to more countries soon.
As usual, the update is rolling out gradually so it may take some hours or days to reach all models. Users are recommended to install the update promptly to benefit from the improved security standards.
Those who haven’t received the update notification can manually check and install the update on their Galaxy phones and tablets. To install the update, open System Settings, select ‘Software Update’, and then select ‘Download and Install’. Additionally, with the beta 2 rollout, Samsung’s One UI 8 beta is now available in Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
Additionally, the stable version of One UI 8 is expected to launch this summer, starting with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, with a rollout to other devices soon after.
