After the Galaxy S, Z, and A series, Samsung has started rolling out the February 2025 security update for the Galaxy Tab S8 series. The firmware is currently live for users in Korea and the company will soon roll it out to more countries.

February 2025 security patch addresses over 50 vulnerabilities from Google and Samsung. From Google’s corner, the patch resolves 1 critical CVE and 34 high-level CVEs, with, two CVEs not relevant to Samsung users.

In addition, Samsung fixed 7 SVEs related to the Samsung Find app and Android application component settings. With these patches, Samsung ensures that your device stays protected and runs smoothly

February 2025 security update for Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G in Korea can be identified via One UI build version X700XXS9CYB1, X800XXS9CYB1, and X900XXS9CYB1 respectively.  This patch is based on Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1. It weighs a package size of around 400MB.

As always, It is an initial rollout so it may take some days to reach all Galaxy Tab S8 models. You can check and install the update to enjoy enhanced functions on your tab.

If you have received the update notification on your device, install it now for a bug-free experience. For installation, open Settings and tap on the Software Update option. Inside the submenu, if your Galaxy tablet gets a new OTA, you need to click on the Download and Install button.

The Galaxy Tab S8 series smartphone is eligible for One UI 7 update based on Android 15 and users are waiting for it. It is expected that Samsung will release a stable update to the Galaxy Tab S8 series models in Q2 2025.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has now appeared on Geekbench, revealing that the company is carrying out pre-launch tests and preparations for its new device. The latest listing also solves the chipset mystery that has been in rumours for a long time.

According to the Geekbench 6.4 listing, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 US variant with model number SM-F966U achieved  3022 points on single-core and 9307 points on multi-core tests.

The US variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has appeared on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Also, the phone is expected to run on Android 16-based One UI 8 operating system

Being a flagship folding handset, all these things sound quite good. Nevertheless, the actual performance will only be known once the device is officially launched in the consumer market. Inputs reveal that the chipset is clocked at 3.53 GHz base frequency. 

Apart from this, the Korean tech giant can launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 around July this year. Also, an affordable flip model can also be introduced along with both the devices.

Samsung is rolling out the first update for Galaxy A56 users. The latest firmware has some useful improvements for the Samsung’s most feature-packed mid-range phone of 2025.  The update optimizes the system’s stability for better performance. It also has new fixes for hidden issues of the tablet.

Now, the company is bringing the first update for the Samsung Galaxy A56, which brining the April 2025 security patch in Thailand. The firmware is rolling out with the One UI A566BXXS2AYD3 version. It also has a package of 500MB. It is better to use a stable Wi-Fi connection for installation.

This initial update improves tablet performance by addressing security issues and enhancing system stability. The latest security patch ensures your device’s data and files remain secure, while system optimizations provide a smoother and more reliable experience.

Note that the update is being released in batches and may take a few days to cover all the regional units. Until then, you can go to System Settings and perform a manual installation if a new version is available.

Samsung Galaxy S23 may receive One UI 7 next week

So far, Samsung has delivered the One UI 7 firmware update to a few flagship Galaxy devices. However, network carriers in Canada now revealed the One UI 7/Android 15 update release date for the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones.

Samsung One UI 7 is based on the Android 15 operating system, which brings notable changes to the usability and software appearance of the device. Samsung’s custom Android skin brings many new and useful features to your Galaxy as well as significant changes to the user interface.

According to Telus’ support page, the Android 15-based One UI 7 update will roll out to the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in Canada on or before April 22, 2025. As always, the new software will also feature a new security patch for improved device reliability.
