TECNO Spark Slim measures just 5.75mm thick! Will it beat the Galaxy S25 Edge?

TECNO Spark Slim

This year’s smartphone market will be dominated by the competition between the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the Apple iPhone 17 Air. Now, Tecno has announced that it will showcase the TECNO Spark Slim at MWC 2025, touting it as “the world’s thinnest phone with over 5,200mAh battery.” Will it be able to beat the Galaxy S25 Edge?

TECNO has introduced the TECNO Spark slim phone concept with a 5.75mm profile, 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display, and durable materials. The thinnest device includes a 50MP+50MP dual rear camera system, a 13MP front camera, and an interactive light band for visual effects.

The company states that the Spark Slim aims to address the common compromise between thinness and battery life. Despite the 5.75mm thickness, the device is designed to house a 5200mAh battery, making it the industry’s slimmest phone with a powerful battery.

The TECNO Spark Slim measures just 5.75mm thick. In comparison, the Galaxy S25 Edge would be slightly thicker at 5.84mm but would get dual rear cameras, including a 200-megapixel primary camera and a modern punch-hole display.

What’s even more surprising is that TECNO has fitted a 5,200mAh battery into this thin frame, while Samsung’s upcoming thin  Galaxy S25 Edge phone is reportedly said to feature a much smaller 4,000mAh battery.

Note that as of now, TECNO has not shared pricing or availability details for the Spark Slim. It is unclear whether the tech giant plans to release it as a commercial product or not, as TECNO’s press release refers to it as a “concept smartphone”.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 Edge may launch on April 16, 2025, and is expected to be priced higher than the S25 vanilla but lower than the Ultra.
