Samsung Galaxy S25 series users are getting the May 2025 update. After South Korea, the company has started expanding the new firmware distribution to more handsets in the European market.

The May 2025 update is available for the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra handsets. The One UI firmware ensures to eliminate anonymous issues from the device system and increase the phone’s potential to fight against malware.

Looking into the changelog, the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra get the May 2025 update with One UI versions S931BXXS3AYDA, S936BXXS3AYDA, and S938BXXS3AYDA, respectively, and a downloadable package of 700 MB.

This update includes the latest security patch released in May 2025. It looks for hidden bugs in the device and reduces the chances of annoying issues. As a result, Galaxy users get a bug-free experience and seamless performance.

This update is rolling out for European users. If you haven’t received any alert for the new update yet, then visit the update section of your smartphone or use the Settings app and install the firmware manually.

Samsung Galaxy M35 5G has been spotted on Geekbench running One UI 8-based Android 16. This smartphone will be one of the phones in the Galaxy M series to get Android 16, which is set to bring new features and improvements to the device.

Moreover, the company recently expanded its One UI 8 beta program to include more Galaxy devices such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

According to the tipster, the Samsung Galaxy M35 with One UI 8 has scored impressively on the benchmark, with a single-core score of 960 and a multi-core score of 2036. These scores suggest the M35 will offer amazing performance to handle everyday tasks and multitask easily.

One UI 8 update will mark the second of a new software upgrade cycle for Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy M35 smartphone. Notably, Samsung promises to provide four major Android updates to the Galaxy M35, so users can expect the phone to stay up-to-date with the latest features for several years.

It’s possible that some Galaxy M35 users could get to try Android 16 early through a beta program, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet. Samsung will release the stable first for flagship models like the Galaxy S25 series, and other mid-range devices could get a chance to try new features later.

Samsung is currently working to expand the One UI 8 Beta update for more Galaxy models. Meanwhile, the company is also rolling out the August 2025 security update for Samsung Galaxy A54 phones.

August 2025 security update for the Samsung Galaxy A54 is currently live in Korea, and the company will soon make it available for more countries. This update prepares your devices for the next firmware, which may be the One UI 8 beta.

According to the information, Galaxy A54 is getting the August 2025 patch with One UI 7 A546SKSSCDYH1 version. It has a software package of 500 MB.

August 2025 security patch addresses more than 45 security vulnerabilities. Google patches in this update cover one critical vulnerability and 28 high-level ones. There is also 1 issue that was previously fixed in earlier updates, and three are that is not applicable to Samsung devices.

Along with these fixes, Samsung has also provided 18 patches under its Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items. These focus on issues with the  Samsung Account, Pkg Predictor Service, SemSensorService, and fall detection, SemSensorManager for Galaxy Watch, Emergency SoS, and  Document scanner. 

To access a fresh update on your Samsung Galaxy A54, go to the Settings app, tap on Software Update, and then select Download and Install. This will initiate the update process, and once completed, you’ll enjoy a more secure smartphone experience.

Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6 pick up the August 2025 security patch in the US

A few days ago, Samsung released a One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 that brought the August 2025 security patch, fixing several security issues. Now, the company has released the update for the carrier-locked variants of the phone for the US  on Verizon

One UI 8 beta allows beta testers to experience the latest features before the public release. However, the Beta build may contain unknown changes and may also have some bugs and issues.

Meanwhile, Samsung is rolling out the August 2025 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 models. It is currently running on One UI 7, and One UI 8 will be considered its second major upgrade.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 Users can identify the new software with build numbers F956USQS2BYGB and F741USQS2BYGB, respectively, with a downloadable package size of 310 megabytes. There are no other major changes noted in the changelog except for the security patch.
