One UI 7 Beta features

Samsung today introduced the One UI 7 beta program with lots of features for users of its Galaxy S24 series. Based on Android 15, One UI 7 focuses on powerful AI features, simplified controls, and a preview of a future scalable AI ecosystem. The beta update allows Galaxy users to try new features and changes before the public release.

One UI 7 beta program is now live for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in Germany, South Korea, and the US, and India, Poland, and the US will get it in the coming days or weeks. This long-awaited One UI 7 update brings more Galaxy AI features, a revamped UI design, improved personation, and others.

One UI 7 Beta Galaxy AI features

One UI 7 brings two new AI features that can transform your Galaxy devices into a powerful productive tool. This update brings powerful Galaxy AI features, including Writing Assist tools and Call transcripts.

  • One UI 7’s Writing Assist tools delivers AI-powered options to summarize content, check spelling and grammar, and automatically format notes into bullet points, which can be applied by selecting text.
  • The second Galaxy AI of One UI 7 is Call Transcripts, which supports 20 languages and transcribes recorded calls. With this feature, Recorded calls will be automatically transcribed for reference later, so you don’t need to manually take notes while you’re on a call.

One UI 7 new UI design with more customization

One UI 7 prioritizes the first impression of simple, impactful, and emotional design with its beautiful simplicity. This update has separated the Quick Panel and Notifications screen, which creates a more modern look and feel.

You can access Quick Panel by swiping down from the top right corner, which features all quick settings in addition to new volume control. Swiping down anywhere on the home screen opens the notifications. Now, each notification is bigger and pill-shaped.

In addition to the new smart notification center, it brings a brand new Now Bar, offering important information like an active voice call, music playback, Interpreter More, Samsung Health workout tracking, SOS, and timer at a glance right on the Lock screen.

Nov Bar appears at the bottom of the Lock screen and reduces the need to constantly unlock the device and will transform the lock screen experience. This update also offers lots of widgets for stock apps and services.

One UI Camera UI

Samsung gives a bold revamp to the Camera UX with One UI 7 update. The new camera button, control, and modes are now more simple and easy to use with the new OS. With the update, shooting models such as photo, video, portrait, and other labels now appear at the bottom of the screen.

This is an excellent place to switch between camera modes and other shooting tools without spending much time. Plus, this update simplified the Pro ad Pro Video camera modes manually settings. Moreover, the Pro video mode has a new zoom control, allowing you to control the zoom speed for smooth transitions.

One UI 7 stable release timeline

The Korean tech giant has also announced that the stable One UI 7 firmware will be introduced in the first quarter of 2025 to the Galaxy S24 series and then released for other Galaxy devices.

Last month, Samsung launched the One UI Beta Program for Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra devices in four countries. At the same time, the company released the first Beta software. Two weeks ago, Samsung distributed the second Beta update, which expanded to India and Poland for key fixes and new features.
