Bluetooth device search not working on Galaxy S25 series, here why

Galaxy S25 Bluetooth device

Samsung makes great phones with great features and One UI software. But, you may have noticed that the Bluetooth connection on the Samsung Galaxy S25 series phones now works a little differently. Meanwhile, some users have reported the Galaxy S25 series’ Bluetooth device search isn’t working well.

According to Samsung, starting with the Galaxy S25 series and the models on which One UI 7 will be received, the concept of connecting devices in the Bluetooth settings screen has been modified to only display and connect to devices with “connectable profiles”.

This is why when you try to connect a Bluetooth device, it doesn’t show up in the Bluetooth settings of your Galaxy S25 phone even if the device is in pairing mode and close to your phone.

In addition, “Connectable Profiles” is a new feature in One UI 7 that debuted with the Galaxy S25 series that lets your phone connect to certain Bluetooth devices more easily. If a device doesn’t have a “connectable profile” will not be displayed, making it harder to connect.

In this case, you can connect it to your phone by installing the dedicated app of your desired Bluetooth device on your phone and then connecting it. Once the dedicated app is installed, you can create a “connectable profile” and use it to connect your phone to the device, even if it doesn’t show up in the Bluetooth settings.

To find out which dedicated app needs to be installed for your device to work, please refer to the user manual of your Bluetooth device or contact the manufacturer of your Bluetooth device
