Galaxy S25 Edge, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, battery revealed by certifications

Samsung is working on its next-generation foldable devices as well as Galaxy S25 Edge, and recently, the battery details of Galaxy S25 Edge, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 were spotted on certification. This hints that Samsung has crossed the regulatory hurdle and gotten approval to launch the upcoming phones in the market.
According to the UL Demko Database, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will have a 3786mAh battery, which will be marketed as 3900mAh. This is smaller than the regular Galaxy S25, which packs a 4000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has listed four batteries of both models. The batteries of Galaxy Z Flip 7 appeared with model numbers ‘EB-BF766ABE’, ‘EB-BF766ABY’, ‘EB-BF767ABE’, and ‘EB-BF767ABY’, while Galaxy Z Fold 7 batteries carry ‘EB-BF966ABE’, ‘EB-BF966ABY’, ‘EB-BF967ABE’, and ‘EB-BF967ABY’ model numbers.
This means that the next-generation foldable device features a dual-battery setup. Apart from the battery model number, the listing does not reveal any other information about the upcoming phones. But the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to come with upgraded software and hardware capabilities.
However, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July 2025, while the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to launch in May of this year. Previous information suggests that the Galaxy S25 Edge phone will be 5.8mm thick and weigh 162 grams, which is thinner than the 7.2mm S25 variant. Also, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
Note that the main purpose of this phone will be its slim design, making it easier to hold. the Korean tech giant is planning to release the S25 Edge soon.
