Galaxy S24 log video feature

One UI 7 includes several new features and improvements. However, some features are currently limited to the Galaxy S25 series. A new report suggests that a useful video feature, Log Video which debuted with the Galaxy S25 series, will also come to the Galaxy S24 series.

Log Video feature helps to Capture more highlights and shadows without the need for professional equipment by simply shooting. Then, you can use expert tools to handle detailed edits like color grading without losing quality.

According to tipster @tarunvats33, the Log Video feature will likely come to the Galaxy S24 Ultra with the stable One UI 7 update and to the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ with the Android 16-based One UI 8. If this is true, it could make many Galaxy S24 users happy. This will at least reduce the discontent of people due to the delay in releasing the stable One UI 7 update.

Please take this news with a pinch of salt, as it has not been officially confirmed.

On the other hand, Samsung claimed that the Galaxy S25 series and above devices support LOG video. Samsung says: Galaxy S25 Series and above supports Log Video.

Samsung is yet to release the stable One UI 7 update based on Android 15 for the Galaxy S24 series. The new version of One UI is only available on the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy F06 5G and will soon be releae with Galaxy A06 5G.

How to record videos in LOG format on the Galaxy S25 series?

To record videos in the log format,

  • Open the Camera app
  • Navigate to the video mode
  • Open settings
  • Tap on Advanced video options, and turn on Log.

You will have the option to get Log mode only in Pro video mode or in Standard video mode as well. Choose any option of your choice.

Galaxy S25 Edge launch

Earlier reports said that Samsung will likely launch the Galaxy S25 Edge slim phone in April. Now, a report states that the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to unveil next month (May) instead of this month, but the exact date is unknown. Several leaks have led to speculation about the Slim phone’s possible release timeline.

According to a report by ETNews (via @Jukanlosreve), the Korean tech giant has decided to postpone the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge. Samsung had planned to launch the S25 Edge in April, but now the slim phone has decided to postpone it to May or June.

Also, there is news that Samsung is not going to hold a big launch event for the Galaxy S25 Edge. Instead, the device will be announced at an online event, similar to the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series, where the price and launch date of the phone will be revealed.

The phone will be available in three colors and two storage configurations. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and Android 15-based One UI 7.x OS.

In terms of optics, the S25 Edge will have two cameras, including a 200-megapixel primary and a 12-megapixel ultrawide. The selfie camera on the slim phone will be 12 megapixels, just like the other Galaxy S25 models.

Galaxy A36 update

Samsung is rolling out the first update for Galaxy A36 5G users. The latest software update brings some useful improvements to the device. It optimizes system stability for better performance. The update also fixes some of the phone’s hidden issues.

Last month, Samsung introduced the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A56 smartphones, along with the Galaxy A36 5G, in the global market. It features a  6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip,  IP67 water resistance, a 50MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with fast 45W charging.

Now, the company is bringing the first update for the Samsung Galaxy A36. The firmware is rolling out with the One UI A366USQU1AYBB version. We suggest keeping sufficient storage for uninterrupted installation.

The Korean tech giant is expanding the reach of the new security fixes to more devices. So, be patient, as you will get this update soon.

However, this update installs the February 2025 update, which fixes several vulnerabilities that often lead to data leaks and abnormal functioning of the device, thereby spoiling the overall user experience.

The update is rolling out to Verizon network carrier in the US and will soon reach other parts of the world. You can try downloading the update manually via Settings > > Software update > Download and install. Make sure your tablet has enough storage and battery level.
