Samsung reportedly confirmed existence of upcoming Galaxy Z Flip FE

Last month, a Samsung executive hinted at future foldable plans and said it aims to improve its design and durability, as well as diversify its lineup to expand its customer base later this year, suggesting that we could see a new model. Moving on, the South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil the upcoming FE model which could be the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE

However, the company has not revealed anything about this upcoming handset yet but today we finally got the confirmation of its existence.

And now, it looks like the Korean tech giant is already working on developing firmware for the Galaxy Z Flip FE. According to the latest information, firmware for a device has popped up on Samsung’s servers that has not yet been launched by the company, its model number is SM-F761B.

The model number seems to be Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE and the firmware version is F761BXXU0AYB1. The letter ‘B’ in the model number of the Galaxy device and the EUX CSC code indicate that these are variants for the European market, which means the Galaxy Z Flip FE will be available in Europe.

Galaxy Z Flip FE specifications

A previous recent report revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will use the same display as the Galaxy Z Flip 6. This means it features a 6.7-inch AMOLED unit with HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and ultra-thin glass (UTG) protection.

Apart from this, the smartphone can have Exynos 2400 SoC up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. If rumors are to be believed, the company can launch Galaxy Z Flip FE in Q3 of this year.

One UI 7 update hitting Galaxy Z Flip 5, Fold 5 models in the US

Verizon recently rolled out the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6. Now, Samsung is rolling out the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones in the US. The update is available for locked models of these 5th-generation foldables on the Verizon network.

One UI 7 update arrives on Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones in the US through One UI build versions F731USQU6EYD9 and F946USQU6EYD9 respectively. The company will soon expand this update to all network carriers in the US.

Based on Android 15, the One UI 7 update brings several new features and enhancements to deliver a next-level experience. Samsung’s One UI 7 update introduces a separate Quick Settings and Notification Panel with the new layout. Also, it adds new features, including Now Bar and Live Notifications, which significantly improve the overall experience.

Apart from new features and enhancements, the update brings the April 2025 security patch to improve system security and stability. Also, it fixes several issues and updates the app to the latest version to improve the overall experience.

As always, this is a gradual rollout so it may take a few hours or days to reach all models. To manually check for a software update, go to your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you’ll find the Software Update section, just open it. Inside the submenu, if your Galaxy brings a new OTA, you’ll need to hit the Download and Install button.
