Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series may use 2nm Exynos 2600 chipset in some markets. A new report reveals Samsung has secured a 30% yield in the initial production at SF2, which manufactures the Exynos 2600, which is anticipated to be used in the Galaxy S26.

According to information (via Zukunloserve), Samsung has achieved yields in the 30% range in test production of the Exynos 2600 used in the Galaxy S26. This is a higher yield than expected, given that the SF2 (2nm) process stabilization is in progress.

This report shows that the Exynos 2600 chipset (2nm) process offers a 25% improvement in power efficiency, a 12% increase in performance, and a 5% reduction in chip area compared to 3nm. This indicates that it will significantly enhance the user experience on the Galaxy S26 series.

The Galaxy S25 series is available to buy from today, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The chipset costs 20% more than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The cost increase is due to TSMC’s 3nm process, while previous chips were made using a 4nm node.

Samsung’s achievement of a yield in the range of 30% in trial production of the Exynos 2600 is also significant from the point of view of the foundry division. If mass production of the Exynos 2600 proceeds on schedule through process stabilization, then in the second half of the year.

Meanwhile, Samsung may soon start production of the 3nm Exynos 2500 that will be used in the Galaxy Z Flip 7 this year. If the company manages to stabilize the yield rates, the next-generation Exynos will be used. Otherwise, Snapdragon will dominate again.
