Galaxy S26 series reportedly comeback with Exynos

Galaxy S26 Exynos chipset

Samsung is preparing to introduce the Galaxy S25 series early next year with One UI 7 and Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Samsung was preparing to use the Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy S25 lineup but switched to a Snapdragon-only plan due to the poor yield of 3nm chips from Samsung’s Foundry. The Galaxy S26 series would be launched in early 2026, and Samsung may return in a big way with Exynos chipset.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series to get the Exynos chipset

Jukanlosreve reports that Samsung will use the Exynos 2500 chipset in both Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus in 2026, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra gets that year’s latest snapdragon. Apparently, Samsung plans to keep the Exynos on the Galaxy S26 series in a similar fashion to the Galaxy S24 series.

The reason behind Samsung bringing back Exynos is that Qualcomm may increase the price of the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the drop in the value of the Korean currency is also making imported components more expensive for Samsung.

The earlier report claims that the yields have since enhanced with the process now stabilized, it can be mass-created. At the moment, the Exynos 2500 chipset is not available in sufficient quantities for the Galaxy S25 series arriving next month.

Due to this, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will feature the Exynos 2500 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to get that latest snapdragon.

In addition, Galaxy Z Flip FE could use the Exynos 2500, the new addition of the Galaxy Z Flip series that will be priced lower than the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

At the moment, we are waiting for the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, which is expected in the first quarter of next year. We are more than a year away from the expected unveiling of the Galaxy S26 series, so it is best to take this information as completely true.
