Galaxy Tab S6 Lite gets February 2025 security update
Following the flagship tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) tablet is receiving a new update in February 2025 that brings useful system improvements. The latest firmware enhances stability aspects, making the device more responsive to users.
Diving into the information, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) is receiving the new February 2025 update with the One UI version P619XXS9CYB1. Make sure to have enough storage as the software package weighs around 500 Megabytes.
Samsung is rolling out a new software update for the (LTE) cellular variant of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) in Europe, which has the model number SM-P619. Moreover, the Korean tech giant may soon expand to the Wi-Fi version in the coming days.
The new update is currently available only in Germany, but it could be made available in other countries in the next few weeks.
Notably, the update doesn’t bring anything other than the latest security patch released by Samsung and Google. However, concerned tablet owners may find internal optimizations and enhanced stability improvements after installation.
On the greener side, the security firmware eliminates unnamed bugs from the security system and patches vulnerabilities that could act as gateways for harmful malware, resulting in system crashes and data leaks.
In addition, the firmware improves system security and stability for better performance. Therefore, you should install the update as it appears on the screen.
Users can update their Galaxy devices directly by going to the Settings app, selecting Software Update, and then tapping Download and Install.
Samsung has started rolling out the April 2025 One UI 7 update for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in India.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones are getting the April 2025 security update in India via One UI builds S931BXXU2AYD9, S936BXXU2AYD9, and S938BXXU2AYD9, respectively.
This new security update improves system security and stability to provide a better experience. It also fixes several issues that occurred in previous versions to improve performance.
April 2025 security patch fixes 4 critical, 36 high, and 5 that do not apply to Samsung devices. Moreover, it contains 1 high-level CVE from Samsung Semiconductor. The update also includes 21 SVE items to improve user experience, addressing issues in the Sticker Center, Clipboard Service, Samsung Contacts, Galaxy Watch wireless download, Samsung Device Health Manager Service, and more.
If you have received the update notification, install it now to get a bug-free experience and enjoy the new features. You can also check for the update by going to the Settings app on your smartphone and opening the Software Update section.
Now, click on the Download and Install option. If an update is available, you can follow the on-screen instructions to install the update on your Galaxy smartphone.
Today, with beta 4 Google expanded Android 16 Beta to select non-Pixel flagship devices from partner brands. Samsung, as always, is skipping the Android 16 Beta Program, while the new OS is available for select devices launched by Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, vivo, and Xiaomi.
Google released Android 16 beta 4 with a second version of platform stability and announced that apps compatible with the new OS will now be available on the Play Store.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has now appeared on Geekbench, revealing that the company is carrying out pre-launch tests and preparations for its new device. The latest listing also solves the chipset mystery that has been in rumours for a long time.
According to the Geekbench 6.4 listing, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 US variant with model number SM-F966U achieved 3022 points on single-core and 9307 points on multi-core tests.
The US variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has appeared on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Also, the phone is expected to run on Android 16-based One UI 8 operating system
Being a flagship folding handset, all these things sound quite good. Nevertheless, the actual performance will only be known once the device is officially launched in the consumer market. Inputs reveal that the chipset is clocked at 3.53 GHz base frequency.
Apart from this, the Korean tech giant can launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 around July this year. Also, an affordable flip model can also be introduced along with both the devices.
