Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 gets November 2024 update in Korea

The November 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 arrives with One UI build version F956NKSU2AXK8. Users will have to download a package weighing around 1243.17 MB to install the update. This update is currently rolling out in Korea and the company will soon make it available in more countries. Galaxy Z Flip 6 also received this update in Korea.

Samsung Galaxy M53 gets November 2024 update

On the flip side, the update improves the Galaxy M53 smartphone’s security, and it is available in Korea, Europe (SEK), Russia (SER), and the US. The update is available in Europe and Russia with build version M536BXXS9EXJ3. In Samsung’s home country, Korea, the Galaxy Quantum 3 (M35) is getting the update with One UI version M536SKSS9EXJ2. In the US, Verizon-specific Galaxy M53 5G gets this update with One UI version A536VSQSEEXJA.

What’s new

The November 2024 update patch fixes over 50 vulnerabilities found in the previous software version. However, it doesn’t bring any new features or performance improvements.

Samsung is rolling out the new One UI 7-based April 2025 update for the Galaxy S25 series in Europe. It brings UI tweaks and new features tested in the beta program.

This update brings Media Player support to Now Bar and Live Notifications, a tweaked charging indicator animation, and fluid system transitions.

Samsung has started rolling out the April 2025 One UI 7 update for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in India. 

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones are getting the April 2025 security update in India via One UI builds S931BXXU2AYD9, S936BXXU2AYD9, and S938BXXU2AYD9, respectively.

This new security update improves system security and stability to provide a better experience. It also fixes several issues that occurred in previous versions to improve performance.

April 2025 security patch fixes 4 critical, 36 high, and 5 that do not apply to Samsung devices. Moreover, it contains 1 high-level CVE from Samsung Semiconductor. The update also includes 21 SVE items to improve user experience, addressing issues in the Sticker Center, Clipboard Service, Samsung Contacts, Galaxy Watch wireless download, Samsung Device Health Manager Service, and more.

Android 16 Beta is now available for these Samsung Galaxy S25 rivals

Today, with beta 4 Google expanded Android 16 Beta to select non-Pixel flagship devices from partner brands. Samsung, as always, is skipping the Android 16 Beta Program, while the new OS is available for select devices launched by Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, vivo, and Xiaomi.

Google released Android 16 beta 4 with a second version of platform stability and announced that apps compatible with the new OS will now be available on the Play Store.

Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Vivo, and Xiaomi have opened beta registration windows for their latest flagship devices launched in the last few months. Samsung, however, is yet to complete One UI 7 for its Galaxy devices, but will soon roll out the stable One UI 7 and launch an independent One UI beta program.

Last week, it was revealed that the company is already working on Android 16’s adaptation and testing the alleged One UI 8 on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 goes on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Elite, One UI 8 ahead of launch

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has now appeared on Geekbench, revealing that the company is carrying out pre-launch tests and preparations for its new device. The latest listing also solves the chipset mystery that has been in rumours for a long time.

According to the Geekbench 6.4 listing, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 US variant with model number SM-F966U achieved  3022 points on single-core and 9307 points on multi-core tests.

The US variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has appeared on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Also, the phone is expected to run on Android 16-based One UI 8 operating system

Being a flagship folding handset, all these things sound quite good. Nevertheless, the actual performance will only be known once the device is officially launched in the consumer market. Inputs reveal that the chipset is clocked at 3.53 GHz base frequency. 

Apart from this, the Korean tech giant can launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 around July this year. Also, an affordable flip model can also be introduced along with both the devices.
