Key differences between Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S24 Ultra

Recently, Samsung unveiled its latest flagship smartphone lineup – the Galaxy S25 series. Out of these, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra may be the leading Android phone of 2025, but it doesn’t have as many upgrades as you would have expected compared to the existing Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone. Here we discuss the key differences between the two devices.
Main differences between Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S24 Ultra
Design:
The Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with a flat display and gets rid of the Galaxy Note-like boxy design that the company has used for the Galaxy S Ultra models since 2022.
At the back, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has the same camera sensor design as the S24 Ultra, yet, the camera rings are thicker, and the lenses are housed in a slightly raised, metal or glass-like casing that blends seamlessly with the rear panel.
Display:
Galaxy S25 Ultra features durable titanium and new Corning Gorilla Armor 2, a first-of-its-kind material that is more durable than glass. In addition, it combines Corning’s glass-ceramic with a proprietary anti-reflective surface treatment, which helps ensure anti-reflection surface treatment and scratch resistance, as well as advanced drop protection.
Camera
The most prominent upgrade that the Galaxy S25 Ultra is getting is a 50-megapixel ultrawide snapper on the back which delivers clearer and sharpens pictures over the S24 Ultra’s 12MP Ultrawide camera. Also, the company has significantly improved nightography as well as added a new feature to capture better portraits at night with AI capabilities.
Processor
Apart from this, this year Samsung has launched only Snapdragon processor-based variants so that users in other countries do not have to compromise with low-performance chipsets. The phone has Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform which is specially designed for Galaxy. Plus, it comes with an improved vapor chamber for heat control.
Battery
In terms of battery, both Galaxy S Ultra series phones pack a massive 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. But, the latest Ultra battery efficiency is improved with the latest AP. Notable, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s Wired charging compatible with Qi2 and AFCPD.
S Pen
The S Pen on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra does not support Bluetooth. Due to this change, potential buyers will have to compromise on some important features like remote control and Air Action.
