One UI 7 features
One UI 7 comes with some major improvements that are expected to make Galaxy phones even smoother and more efficient. Samsung has improved the animations a lot with the latest One UI update.
Samsung’s One UI 7 brings a new notification system that streamlines communication with easy access from the device’s lock screen called the Now Bar. This brand new dynamic island feature highlights relevant activities across various features like Interpreter, Music, Recording, and Stopwatch, in addition to the Now Brief.
The “Now Brief” with a “Get today’s highlight” prompt gives you a personalized summary every day, including things like the weather forecast, your appointments, health info, and even suggestions for apps to use.
The update comes with a major vibrant new design, visible across the entire user interface at the center of this new look, while many system function icons have been overhauled for better visual uniformity.
Additionally, Samsung One UI 7 introduces a significantly redesigned Quick Settings and Notification Panel, provides distinct access to the notification drawer ( swipe down from anywhere else on the top of the screen.) and Quick Settings (swipe from either the top right or left), allowing you to switch between them with a left or right swipe.
Galaxy S25 will become true AI companions with One UI 7
As promised, Samsung offers AI capabilities with multimodal capabilities that enable the Galaxy S25 to interpret text, speech, images, and video so conversations sound natural.
With the One UI 7 update, Samsung has upgraded to Google’s Circle to Search, making your phone screen more helpful, faster, and relevant. The feature now quickly recognizes phone numbers, emails, and URLs on your screen, allowing you to call, email, or visit a website with a single tap.

Starting with the Galaxy S25 series running on One UI 7, you can simply press and hold the side button to activate Gemini and seamlessly interact with Samsung and Google apps as well as third-party apps like Spotify. For example, find the season schedule of your favorite web series and add it to Samsung Calendar – all this can be done by long-pressing the side button and then giving a single voice command.
With One UI 7, Samsung Galaxy AI offers advanced writing assist features such as summarizing content, check spelling and grammar, writing composers, and automatically format notes into bullet points, without requiring switching between applications.
The Galaxy S25 keeps calls organized with call transcripts and summary features when connected to the internet.
Sketch to Image: The One UI 7 Sketch to Image feature is now integrated into the Drawing Assistant, which works through Galaxy AI, which understands text, voice, and images to make the Galaxy S25 Ultra a true AI companion. With this update, it uses more than one input for a multimodal experience, such as drawing with the S Pen or one’s finger.
AI Camera lets Galaxy S25 users transform the night sky into visual masterpieces with voice commands, improving the capabilities of nightography. The latest AI camera features will work on Post Zoom, Post Nightography, and Post Quick Share.

The Galaxy S25 series comes with an Audio Eraser feature, which is equipped with generative AI capabilities to remove unwanted sounds in video clips and can be accessed through the Gallery app.
Apart from this, Samsung has also introduced the Virtual Aperture feature in the popular Expert RAW with the Galaxy S25 series. This new feature gives users even more control over their photos and gives you the flexibility to adjust the aperture according to your photos.
Security and privacy features of the Galaxy S25 series with One UI 7
In the Galaxy S25 series, post-quantum cryptography protects personal data from emerging threats that may grow with the development of quantum computing.
Another privacy feature on the Galaxy S25 series is called the Personal Data Engine, which powers personal features by securely analyzing your data on the device to deliver highly customized experiences that reflect your preferences and usage patterns.

Samsung is likely readying One UI 8.5 beta 7 for the Galaxy S25 series
On February 25, Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 series, and these phones will be available starting March 11. A day later, the company began rolling out Beta 6 for the Galaxy S25 series, but it seems this may not be the last beta before the stable version is released. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 series is still receiving updates through the One UI 8.5 beta program.
Samsung One UI 8.5 beta 7
A reliable tipster, @TarunVats, spotted a new One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series on testing systems. The build ending in ZZC3 indicates that Samsung is preparing the seventh beta update for the S25 phones. It’s worth noting that this build began rolling out in March, but the patch level is still February 2026.
The new build suggests that the beta program is still active even after the Galaxy S26 series launched with One UI 8.5 features and improvements. Galaxy S25 Users may have to wait a little longer for the final stable update.
The latest One UI 8.5 Beta 6 update fixed many problems and improved the phone’s performance, including Bixby, Gallery, Now Bar, Now Brief, Display settings, Modes, and Routines.
At this time, Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed how many more beta updates will arrive or when the stable One UI 8.5 version will be released for the Galaxy S25 series and older phones. However, the new beta build is a strong indication that at least one more beta update is on the way. Galaxy S25 users who are part of the beta program should keep an eye out for new updates.
