Android 15 App Archive feature arrives on Samsung phones with One UI 7

In a video on X (formerly Twitter), the leaker shared that One UI 7 Beta 1 has an Android 15 app arching feature. It lets you free up some space without forcing you to completely uninstall the app. It means that you won’t lose your data when you archive the app from your phone to free up space.

With this feature, the app will be archived in the cloud, and when you are ready to install it you save the hassle of setting it up again.

The leaker noticed this feature on his Galaxy S24 series phone running One UI 7 beta. You can also try this feature on your latest Galaxy S series phone running One UI 7 by following the below-mentioned steps.

To do that, tap and long-press on the app that you want to archive in the cloud, here a pop-up window opens, and tap on the App info icon. Tap the Archive button at the bottom, and the app will be archived.

Once archived, you will notice that the app’s icon will appear dimmed with an archive mark indicating that it has been archived.
