One UI 7 prepares new options for managing Display

While One UI 7 brought several new features, very few are related to the Home screen and lock screen. Samsung is planning to intorduce more screen personalization features wiht the One UI 7 update, and one of those could be the Display Assistant app that offers more control over your phone’s dispaly options on a per-app basis.

Samsung is preparing to add more granular controls for the screen with the One UI 7 Display Assistant app.

Recently, a well-known leaker Ice Universe spotted that Samsung has released the Display Assistant app, which is currently in the beta phase and is a part of Galaxy Labs and Good Guardians. This app allows Galaxy users to customize various aspects of screen brightness and display settings for different apps. The app’s features including:

  • Setting brightness duration,
  • Adjusting brightness at high temperatures,
  • Changing the speed of screen brightness adjustments
  • Enabling a curtain mode.

In addition, Galaxy users can change to activate the automatic brightness limit after 10 minutes. It also lets one-click access to keep the screen on for 30 minutes. Last but not least, the app also lets you limit certain apps to 60Hz to save power. Curtain mode, when activated, is useful for reducing eye strain.

The Display Assistant app is available for Galaxy devices running on One UI 7 beta and the beta update is currently accessible on the Galaxy S24 series in India, Korea, Germany, Poland, the UK, and the US.

We wull get more information about the Display Assistant app closer to the release of the One UI 7 Stable update.

On the other hand, Google has already released the second Developer Preview of Android 16, while Samsung still hasn’t releaaed the stbale version of the One UI 7 to Galaxy phones and tablets.

Android 16 Developer Preview 2 new features include cloud search in Photo Picker, Health Connect updates, predictive back animation improvements, adaptive refresh rate, improved haptics, and more.
