One UI 7: How to change Grid layout on Vertical App Drawer for Samsung devices
Yesterday, Samsung released several new features with One UI 7.0, but some minor changes and improvements did not make it into the official announcement or changelog. As you saw One UI 7 beta 3 upgrades the home screen settings user interface with prioritized apps and widget style. Recently, a tipstar discovered that One UI 7 added a new option, “Apps Screen Grid,” for the vertical app drawer. The “Apps Screen Grid” features allow you to choose between 4 columns and 5 columns in the vertical app drawer. You can edit the grid layout of the app drawer for larger views or application stacks by following the instructions below:
You can access the “Apps Screen Grid,” feature by navigating to Settings >> Home screen settings >> App screen grid. Now, choose between 4 or 5 columns.
In addition to this, One UI 7 beta 3 brings modifications to the main home screen customization page as well as app and widget styling. Plus, it places these Home screen settings at the top of the screen so you can get started with app and widget styling right away.
The feature is currently found in One UI 7 beta 3, which is available for Samsung Galaxy S24 series smartphones and is gradually rolling out in batches. Until the software achieves stability, there is a possibility that changes may be introduced in future beta releases.
Additionally, the update also brings improvements to Quick Panel, Lock Screen, Edge Panel, Routines+, Lock Screen Shortcuts, Now Bar, and more. One major change in the One UI 7 Beta 3 is ability to to enable the Quick Settings panel on either left or right side based on your preference.
