One UI 8 could be the next version after One UI 7, skipping One UI 7.1 and One UI 7.1.1

Samsung has been delaying the release of the One UI 7.0 update this year. Although the Korean tech giant released the first beta update for the Galaxy S24 series late last year, its pace of fixing bugs has been quite slow. Amid the delay in the One UI 7 rollout, a new leak suggests that Samsung is reportedly skipping the One UI 7 versions like One UI 7.1 and 7.1.1 and moving straight to One UI 8.
One UI 8 could be the next version after One UI 7
On X, a reliable tipster, Ice Universe, says that the next version after Samsung’s One UI 7.0 will be One UI 8. The leak suggests that there is no chance for the speculated versions of One UI 7.1 and One UI 7.1.1. Also, this means that the delay of One UI 7.0 may not affect One UI 8 release.
Earlier, this leaker also claimed that the next One UI version, One UI 8 will arrive sooner than expected.
Samsung, on the other hand, has reportedly spent 2-3 years on One UI 7, improving the user experience. Now, see what steps have been taken for One UI 8 despite the huge delay of latest version of One UI.
On the other hand, it was reported that One UI 7.1 has been canceled, and the flagship foldable will come with One UI 7.0.1 instead of One UI 7.1.1. The Korean tech giant usually continues its versioning strategy, but this year, it’s going to be completely different.
Additionally, Samsung may expand the One UI 7 program to more Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A54 smartphones, by March 2025.
