Galaxy A35 February 2025 update

Samsung began to roll out a new software update for the unlocked models of Galaxy A35 5G in the US and it comes with the January 2025 security patch, improving the phone’s security aspect.

Samsung Galaxy A35 5G January 2025 software update comes with firmware version A356U1UES4AYA1 and a package size of around 400 megabytes. According to the changelog, the update doesn’t bring anything else than the security patch. At least, we’ve been hoping to address the system bug.

Similar to other rollouts, this fresh patch is being released in batches. It will take some time to reach all the users. We suggest all of the A35 users get this software update as soon as it appears in the notification panel.

How to update:

Users of this phone can download the latest software update via Settings:

  1. Software updates
  2. Download and Install

Other than the instructions, Galaxy A35 users need to know that this update won’t erase their personal data but we recommend that you back up any important data before updating. This update package will be deleted automatically after the update is complete.

January 2025 update

January 2025 security patch brings fixes for over 50 vulnerabilities, including 5 critical and 24 high-level CVEs from Google, while Two CVEs do not affect Samsung devices. Additionally, Samsung addresses 22 SVEs, focusing on SoundPicker, Samsung Message, NotificationManager, and  Protection Mechanism Failure in bootloader.

Overall, this patch fixes various vulnerabilities and bugs affecting Android systems and Samsung devices.
