Galaxy A36 One UI 8

With Stable, Samsung has now concluded the One UI 8 Beta Program for the Galaxy A36 5G in Samsung’s home market, South Korea.. The Beta participants have started getting incremental software update, which replaces the Beta firmware with a Stable build.

Owners of the Galaxy A36 5G smartphone in South Korea are getting the Stable One UI 8 update. The major firmware bears PDA build version A366NKSU2BYI9 and is rolling out first to those who have participated in the Beta Program last month.

As the Korean model is beginning to receive the One UI 8, it should soon be expanded to Indian users who have also had an opportunity to join the Beta Program. The  Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 are the two mid-range devices in the One UI 8 beta program, making it a priority for Samsung.

This ensures a polished experience when the stable version arrives. Check Settings > Software Update to see if One UI 8 is ready for your device.

If you’re not in the Beta program, the stable One UI 8 update will bring these exciting Android 16 features to your Galaxy A36 5G soon. The Global expansion will take place sequentially, so it’s advised to be patient as the rollout progresses.

This update brings new personalization features and wallpaper style options to Samsung phones. It also brings design improvements that are noticeable in everyday use. However, don’t expect Galaxy AI to be included, as it’s still limited to flagship phones.

Galaxy S26 Camera Assistant

We’ve heard some rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera system, and according to the latest information from a newsletter, Samsung has been spotted working on new camera toggles via the Samsung Camera Assistant to adjust video softening, autofocus speed, and sensitivity for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

A reliable newsletter, the Android Authority, spotted that Samsung has been testing new camera settings in the Camera Assistant app on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but it is working on making the camera smarter.

Samsung Camera Assistant is a module that runs through the Good Lock app and enhances the camera experience on Galaxy devices. This module allows users to customize various camera settings, such as adding a 2x zoom button, increasing the shutter speed, and adjusting other features of the primary camera.

According to the information, Samsung has been spotted working on a new camera toggle for video softening and adjusting autofocus speed and sensitivity. However, both of these features are currently not active yet in One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy S25 series and could be intended for the Galaxy S26 Ultra to mark it as a high-end tool for camera enthusiasts.

Video Softening:

Video softening works similarly to the “picture softening” option, allowing users to reduce harsh details for smoother, more natural-looking photos with less sharpening. With this feature, users can toggle the softening effect to off, medium, or high to adjust its intensity.

Autofocus speed and sensitivity:

In addition to video softening, the Camera Assistant Good Lock module on One UI 8.5 also includes the Autofocus speed and sensitivity feature. Autofocus Speed controls how fast the focus moves from one subject to another, while Sensitivity decides how quickly the camera switches focus between subjects.
