Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, Fold 5 receive One UI 7-based May 2025 security update
Samsung has released a new update with the May 2025 security patch for Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone users. This update is currently being released for users in Korea, and the company will soon make it available for all models.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphone users are receiving the May 2025 security patch update with One UI build versions F946NKSS5EYE2 and F731NKSS5EYE2, respectively. This is an early rollout, so it may take a few hours or days to reach all models.
The May 2025 security patch includes improvements from Google and Samsung. Google’s update fixes one critical and 58 high-priority CVEs in the Android OS. Notably, last month, a carrier-locked variant (SM-F946U) of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 for the US was spotted on Geekbench running Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8.0.
The One UI 8 update will bring meaningful changes to the UI. The company is also working on redesigning apps and core functionality to further improve the appearance and foundation laid by the Android 15-based One UI 7 update.
Samsung has started expanding One UI 8 Beta to Galaxy S25 devices, allowing users to enjoy new features and enhancements ahead of an official release. Meanwhile, the company is also rolling out the June 2025 security update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones.

Samsung June 2025 Security Patch Details
